Everybody! Another Roby gate has appeared! I believe it is a Ruby King, or Queen, not sure exactly what it is and so I will simply call it a crown (also for the sake of newbies). We should start another red-for-red campaign. For those of you who do not know what that is, we try and throw only Crimsonite (red mineral) into a given gate, this time being the purple chess piece one with a red background (currently the newest at the far right).
Tell everyone you know! Your friends! Your guildies! Everyone!

We have just started working on a Majority Crimsonite Gate! We are building it at the (currently far right) gate with the purple-pawn/red background logo. Contributions would be greatly appreciated by the whole of SK! Please try not to place any other types of minerals into this gate, if you wouldn't mind doing so. Thank you.
In case you are wondering why we are doing this... it is that a majority red gate will result in something that is not Clockwork Tunnels! In case you are wondering... that is good. Also, it will help spawn Arena Levels, which are quite rare nowadays, it seems.
Remember... red for red!
Edit: Due to popular demand, players who cooperate will receive a free slice of cherry pie with each contribution of 100 Crimsonite to the Blood Pawn Gate.

Now if you could make a parfait with an arena layer, and a graveyard layer, and some other non-clockwork layers, that would be super nummy. And some lichens too, just so I can be a party pooper.

Probably you have to make many deposits with dusk drops
For example, 500 reds and 6 dusk drops creates 1 (or more) red layer at the bottom, 500 blue and 5 dusk creates 1 blue layer at bottom-1, then 500 yellow and 4 dusks, etc

One color is old hat. Mix it up a bit!
Pure red has been done, and all arenas + difficulty rebalancing = doom!
We should start working on two-color combinations; I know that some people are trying to make this gate a Blue + yellow combination.

Pauling- if you're referring to Nooblar's thread the blue/yellow combination is meant for the gate that rotates in when green skull rotates out thus giving us ample time to collect blue/yellow before we need to put it in a gate. Also red has been done before but as you noted prior to the rebalancing. By rallying for a red gate again we can A. see if an all red gate creates the same levels both times (maybe they added things that aren't arenas), and B. give the devs valuable feedback on how arenas work with the rebalancing. Plus I figure this is the easiest gate to make all red... as it has a red background :D

Yeah, it's more green than red right now I think. I've been seeing people, who were also politely asked only to place red, throw rainbows in there (which is mostly green, as expected). Broccoli pie of them.
As for the blue/yellow gate... I too thought that was supposed to be later on, so we'd all have lots of time to collect hundreds of blue/yellow each. I'm almost at 100 of each mineral, after which I will be collecting solely Blue/Yellow (unless there's no satisfactory crystal to pick up compared other colours, of course).
Much thanks for the cooperation so far. Did I mention that whoever is willing to sit by the gate for prolonged periods of time and spam to only place red in the blood pawn gate will have a chance at winning a years supply of cherry pie.
Edit: I'm thinking... maybe we should put some purple/yellow/blue into the blood pawn gate just so that it evens out with green? Right now green is far above those 3, with red definitely in the lead. But I'm wondering, since the bars only show the distribution, if we should balance out the 4 we don't want so that red will seem in the definite lead. This might help to direct newbies, or just other players who don't know about our plan, into putting red into this gate be default. Perhaps because they see it has a red icon, and all the red, they might think "Oooh red, I will put my red in here!". Is it a waste or do you guys think it might help (and look better)?

Color theory
According to Boswick, the gate colors/symbols serve no specific meaning, beyond to help visually distinguish between two gates. So the gate color (red background) does not have any bearing on whether the gate will favor red minerals.

@pauling: No haha, that's not what we meant. We mean that it's red appearance is favorable as to signify it's (expected) contents. So that players, perhaps newbies upon seeing red, as well as other players unaware of our cause, might see the high amount of Crimsonite, as well as the red logo, and decide to "go with the flow".

Great job so far!
Yeah... so ... this definitely is not meant to be a bump, but the gate seems to be doing pretty good now. It looks like it's down to only 1/4 Vale, basically a sliver of the others (probably because they have to show), and the rest is a huge bar of red. Great job so far!
Edit: AHHH! Who keeps putting all this Valestone rubbish in our Crimsonite gate?! Almost 80 Crimsonites only did this much. Tell every Spiral Knight you see of our cause!

There is seriously way too much Valestone in circulation. I somehow managed to end up with 50 of the stuff when I just picked up whatever was biggest for a while.
As a result, I'm not picking up a single piece of Valestone for the foreseeable future.

There's now 7 Crimsonite cells (same as a while ago), 3 Valestone cells, and 1 of each of the rest... I wonder if it's newbies thinking it's best to have the bars balanced or something?

I'm not blaming the newbies/people who don't read the forums, it's jut a pity they can't be fully aware. I've been shouting that phrase with the /z command every time I log on until people yell at me to stop spamming (Fire). I do this so that those stated can at least be somewhat aware of our effort. I think, and hope, the fact that it's a red logo and a so-far mostly red gate, people might get the hint.
A good way to spread the effort is through guild chat, since it's an easy and direct way to communicate to multiple people at once; much like the /z command. Also, I would encourage people to explain our effort to anybody they might suspect is not aware of it, such as random passersby for example, in a grammatically correct and authoritative manner. This seems to work for me.

An example of grammatically correct and authoritative phrase, for those who are not familiar with utilizing such tactics: "/z Please place only Crimsonite (red) into the red/purple pawn gate! We are attempting to construct a pure Crimsonite gate for the benefit of all players. Thank you for your cooperation.". Tell every newbie you see! Tell every guild mate, every friend!
