We've all seen that:
-CE prices will raise from people crafting new bombs
-Some people are unhappy with the new change to shard bombs
-People think OOO is on its last straw
An easy way for OOO to make a quick fix, while plotting more ways to revamp the game, could be an out-of-this-world promo. I think a promo is likely near. What do you think it will be?
Reco[SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER]. Yeah. Which seems pretty stupid to release in a promo rather than a crown sink like a r[SPOILER] shop. I mean I'm sure Bechamel can do that. Would bring more profit and would help people get them much easier as to get the one you want you'll have to pay lots.

This endgame content is so awesome! All those resources in making all those models, how lucky it isn't wasted in cash only things! Which gate in Arcade go all those Hunter enemies? The Leaf Confetti fixes the Stun bug, right? Or does it fix the new bombs that aren't RSS?
So now more than half the time we'll be receiving a UV Ticket? Count me out.

I'm not defending the crappy chances of getting any rare accessory at all, but it's hard to believe that OOO didn't spend at least some of the money on GPS tracking collars or microchipping. That's pretty much the standard in the gaming industry.

Just like last time, I think the confetti is a ripoff. I would respect the promos a lot more without this consolation prize. When retail stores post a sale & say everything 50% off, they mean everything is 50% off. If the sale sign said 'we'll spin a wheel and if it lands on one of the 50% spaces you get 50% off,' no one would bother.

Thank you Duke for the voice of reason, and thank you to Three Rings for making an awesome game and doing an awesome job with all the new content and promos. I don't understand why so many brave knights are crying about content and promos. It's to the point where I'm pretty sure they are whining because they think it's what they're supposed to do (their duty?). I know it's pretty common for game communities to behave this way. The rule of thumb I always follow has yet to fail:
A group of people is only (collectively) as smart as the dumbest person in the group.

I might just quit the forums for now. Too many people crying, giving ignorant excuses, and there's no more fun in the forums. Right now it's like an abusive relationship, it keeps trying to hurt me (I've been insulted here far too many times) but I still stay.

I guess I should clarify when I say the confetti is a ripoff: The point these Promotions (Promo for short) that OOO keep making is to give some extra incentive to making a CE purchase. The free gift concept has been around as long as infomercials have. Basic logic dictates that the better your 'free gift' is, the more likely the good or service you are selling will actually sell.
So let's look at this from a salesman point of view: I can buy 3500 ce any time I want. But wait! if I buy now during the promo period, I'll get a free Prize Box! What's in the prize box you ask? well it COULD be these FABULOUS THINGS! So Buy NOW!
So there's the parts they want you to know. Someone without thinking too carefully will say "Oh wow I might get one of these things on the list, all for buying CE when I normally wouldn't... I could certainly use one of those!"
But then we get to the fine print. The chances of me getting any of those FABULOUS THINGS listed above? 5%. what am i going to get the other 95% of the time? Confetti. Wooo... an animation of my character throwing around what looks like chunks of tissue paper for two seconds.
So Let's reword that sales pitch, shall we?
I can buy 3500 ce any time I want. But wait! if I buy now during the promo period, I'll get a free Prize Box! What's in the prize box you ask? well It is most likely going to be 1 capsule of CONFETTI! And if you're lucky, it'll be TWO capsules of CONFETTI! and if your'e really lucky, it'll be THREE capsules of CONFETTI! Case and point: If you buy CE during the promo period because of that extra incentive and the thought that you're going to get something cool (not confetti) out of that prize box, and all you get is the confetti, then yeah, you're going to feel ripped off as I was. Remember Halloween last year? When they gave away those Pumpkin bandoleers with an energy purchase? Now THATS a promo! Something in the terms of game mechanics that's real. noticeable. tangible. Confetti? no thanks.

I did spring for the Solstice prize promotion. I opened the box, and only got 2 confetti.
that's why I'm bent out of shape, I didn't get anything else. I am guessing something went wrong? I was under the impression that you could possibly get only confetti out of the box, but re-reading the solstice promotion post on the wiki says that we get an item in addition to confetti...
Now i'm sad.
Yanos-Aldrin it happened to me too. I saw variant ticket in a box opening animation, but it didn't appear in my inventory. So I made a F2 request and got my variant ticket after 2 days.

Well atleast im not the only one who had that issue. But I dont even recall seeing an animation of the character pulling anything out of the box other than confetti, so i have no clue what i was 'supposed' to get. I just saw him dig in the box just like the iron ones, then pull out the confetti, then back to normal. ;_;. that's a really cute pic of a devilite in your avatar, btw. i still hate the bastages though :P
