What's been going on lately?
First, this "prize box" model which is a total rip-off, since most of the time you get useless gambling items.
Second, the RSS murder. DA shoots bulletswords too, it's not a sword either!
The UV tickets giveaway
Now this complete joke of a promo.
And the increasing time in which you are unable to fix certain bugs or simply ignore them...
Please, rethink your decisions and actions. Ever since the first promo including that joke of a "prize box" model I haven't spent a cent directly (except guardian pack since well, there was no other way) on ce, I simply sold Steam games. That's gonna be around 100$+ soon.
Yes this is a boycott. I refuse to buy CE until:
-You ditch that horrible "prize box" system for promos in favor of the old one which guaranteed a promo item
-You fix certain bugs (stun, alchemers not applying damage)
And I am not the only one, several friends have done this too. Mostly because of the prize box promos.
Please, think about this, and maybe you'll realize you are losing a handful of clients, and players this way. Several have quit for different reasons (the very bad decisions lately, the featuring of promo items on FA, the RSS/tickets giveaway/Hunter promo...).
Don't get me wrong, I love this game and I still think of OOO as a good company that listens to the players, this is why I hope you'll read and be aware of this. But I can't close my eyes to the decline that's been going on lately. :/
I am not urging anybody to stop buying CE from OOO, but that is my way of boycotting this... joke. I'll happily give up the profit from selling steam games if OOO started making good decisions again.

Consider the promotions to be a kindness on OOO's part. They don't have to advertise their game unless they want people to buy it. Think of it as dog treats- right now you're arguing that your dog treats are not being prepared as well as they could be. You need to think of it as more of a "wow! I'm getting dog treats with my food!" because OOO does not have to provide bad tasting dog treats with your food, and if you want to eat real food you're going to have to do a lot more than refuse to roll over for your food.

Once I buy all the CE in the game I will refuse to sell it back so no one can use it slowly choke the life from this game until my old RSS is returned.

On a more serious note about Tersakaff's post.. During the Arcane Halo promo my close friend got an arcane halo and gave it to me as a gift. At the end of the promo I flipped @#*& when I saw an Arcane Halo on the Featured Auction list. I'm keeping that halo for myself.. but it is just the idea that I can see how other players are getting pissed about that because I know I did.
Back to my evil plans. When I finally decide to sell all the CE in the game back to the players I will sell it at 16k per 100 since that is how much two mission FSC runs are worth! :D I know I didn't count FSC tokens but I want players to have a little ray of hope so I can continue to milk their crowns.

If you want to be judgmental and hate on P2P'ers, at least be smart about it by keeping the hate to yourself.
Think of it this way for a sec. You think they are idiots right? Maybe they are. The bottom line is: the more they buy CE, the cheaper you can get it when you buy it with cr. So do yourself (and the rest of the F2P'ers) a favor and Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Maybe even tell them how great they are for being the martyrs that pay for the game so that others can go F2P.
Take it from a hybrid F2P/P2P'er. It makes sense if you think before you trash talk.

Post kinda reminds me of what kids said back when they attempted to boycott this game due to perm-binding and unbinding costs came out....It didn't end well majority of the supporters of the thread either quit for a few weeks came back and ended up buying ce. Anyways, Promos will keep on happening over 5k dollars is spent each promo (From my guess) I guess this since if you take a look at AH the items put up over time I would count over 500 items in total are in the cycle 9.95 a promo pack etc. (Now this isn't even counting uv tickets). *No, I do not sit around and count every single item just look around and guess-estimate*
Morale: Only way you can get to Three Rings is by having a HUGE amount of players stop paying into this game, but that will never happen from the looks of it. *The leader of the last boycott didn't last so long till he went and bought Ce*.

Boycott success rate
I agree with Njthug here. A boycott seems less likely to work when it is based on an emotional reaction instead of a reasonable one. That is the case that I'm trying to make in the first response on this thread. The TL;DR is: If you do not need/want CE, you probably shouldn't be buying it (promo or not). Not buying something isn't the same as a boycott, so it's less dramatic I guess but yeah. If drama is what you're looking for, just grab some popcorn and read about the bomb updates. It's cheaper than buying the CE promo package.

I'm not even going to fight it anymore. I came to SK not even half a year ago. And the magic's gone.
Between various weapon 'reworks' and 'repurposing'. Lack of response, and various other things? I'm pretty much done at being active on forums. I have lurked about, stayed in the shadows, and watched this slowly burn.
Luguiru is one dedicated player, and you don't even respond/ make any moves to the affirmative of even having read a part of his suggestions thread. He actually uses math, logic, and many other things that aren't used often in forums.
Fehzor is an alternative to Luguiru, also using logic in many of his posts and yet goes unheard of and gets buried under "lol pets, lol pets, lol weapons, lol want free ce/cr, and want free stuffz".
I've watched various people decide that they give up who suggested/helped suggest great things, they've given up on trying with you OOO. Various suggestions have gone unheeded. Your tweaking of weapons/anything in game seems to only be in line with what is seen on general forums/arsenal. Want to know why I tell almost everyone I know that all you really look at is general forums? Here's a few 'tweaks' you've made since I've been in the game.
Spur lost it's first swing, which didn't even happen until after a bunch of noobs complained about tossing themselves into traps.... it was a weapon you had to learn to use effectively/decently pre-nerf and you just turned it back to 'spam ftw'.
DR got nerfed, admittedly, this one required a nerf... it was just too dang good of a bombing weapon, but instead of choosing one method or the other, you chose both; taking away both speed and power DR got destroyed as a weapon.
RSS? This weapon 'not being with your standards for bombing' or whatever you decided to tell us is nothing but an excuse, once again a few people raged about how in lacking skill themselves, they got owned by RSS users. You want to know my biggest issue? All a bomber ever gets is a charge, AOE is expected, but when I can stay in line with a DA in single-target DPS you nerf me? Why? ALL I GET IS A CHARGE! They get normal swings they can shield cancel, a charge that if they stop charging doesn't ruin their attack completely. I, as a bomber, have to learn to dodge, to charge, to actually play with a brain to get a decent DPS, and yet I get less reward than someone charging in like an idiot swinging their club/blasting their gun. I play with most risk, and now I get least reward especially when my swiss army knife and baby DPS bomb that rarely affected anyone else's play gets nerfed to nothingness. Gunners can kill from afar, swordies walk in and come close to OHKO'ing everything, I walk around for 2 minutes still trying to kill 5 monsters.
You HAD some chances for retribution, and you go and nerf the next thing on the list that fluffball elitists don't like. They rant on general forums and get what they want, I support a dedicated, well thought out suggestion, I see NOTHING!
And yet, the weapons aren't what honestly killed it for me. Missions have eliminated any chance for Cradle to be real anymore. All that lore? All the randomized awesomeness, all that actual GRINDING and TEAMWORK that you supposedly strive for? It's gone now. We were forced to interact (albeit frustratingly) with players via the AH using weapon recipes, mats that were difficult to find... /sigh what am I wasting my energy for?
Somewhere along the way.... I lost SK. Same as those I made friends with... at one time... there was a chance of you keeping my interest. Now it'll be lost once again.
I'm pretty much done trying to help make the game better, you're doing what you're going to do.

There are some people who quited LD becuz of the rss nerf, kinda sad........and despite all the variations of all the shard bombs, OOO did managed to make them less useful then a 4* master blast bomb.
as for the promo, it really sucks when they throw in the UV tickets as a part of the items u can get from the prize boxes, all the UV tickets take up more than 50% of the overall items...........
Since the mission system has single handedly killed the arcade, it would be cool if they come up with more events, like the halloween, christma, and the cake(even the item were ugly, but it was creative and fun) to expand the use of arcade.

Arguing with idiots isn't one of my favorite things.. but personally, I only spend money on CE for three reasons: I'm lazy and impatient, I can afford it, and I want to support OOO. Something that's gone now.

The purpose itself of accessories is to create extremely rare and wanted items. I mean, tons of accessories are even more expensive than truly endgame equipments such as CTR VH Brandish or Autogun lines, and it doesn't seem to bother much people willing to pay 50k CE for some sparkling turd so why should it be bothering now? The fact that boxes do not always give an accessory just make them even more rare and lusted anyway, that's what most accessory collecters want. I mean, a turd-green Spiral Sallet, who actually finds that good looking?

Though, I'm pretty sure that when you buy CE during a promo, you are still just buying CE! The fact that you don't need CE probably means you shouldn't be buying CE anyway. I don't understand how this promo makes you more angry than you were before it came out.
For the players that buy CE only because they want a new costume or accessory, why don't you just save your money, and use cr to buy the costumes and accessories at the AH or using the Bazaar forum? When you run out of cr, you can sell your overabundance of CE for more cr. But then what would happen if you ran out of CE? Would you rather buy the CE without a promo, so you can buy the desired costume/accessory? Or would you rather buy CE with a chance at a costume/accessory (by getting it during a promo) and if you don't get what you want, trade the CE (or cr you get from selling the CE) for the item you specifically want?
Does that make sense? If it does, then my point stands: WTH is everyone complaining about??? If it does not make sense, maybe I can explain it better or maybe I am just missing something. I don't want to make anyone upset, in fact, I'm trying to make people realize that they are getting upset about nothing actually haha. Help me help you, or just help me.
