if RSS was the only way you could solo bomb before, then you really need to learn to bomb.
I solo bomb with DBB all the time, especially on beast levels. I've even used it when I went into a zombie danger room with only shadow weapons and a DBB... yea, that was rough, but still did it no problem. The Trojans at the end were the real killer, but still doable.
Anyways, this video reminds me why I've never gotten a gun from that line. WAY to slow. Watching the you kill those silkwings (and other monsters) in fast-forward was painful.

The old RSS was a really good
The old RSS was a really good bomb at specific, niche things. Are we already looking at it with rose-tinted glasses? It was hardly the holy grail of bombing ; hell, it wasn't even the best piercing bomb we had. People throwing out hyperbole saying bombing is impossible now are either naive or not bombers at all.

Pft. I didn't even have the RSS in my loadout for the majority of levels and I got by fine before the change and I still get by fine.
