The problem with ld is that.. its so unbalanced. To people who dont have trinkets, and whoever doesnt use the striker class. You trinketers are probably thinking that this is just another stupid complaing thread, but hear me out. And all this is concerning the striker class..

1. Having trinkets is really unfair to other classes. For us recons and guardians, we cant do anything. It removes the advantage of us having extra health. Its stupid how pretty much all the disadvantages are taken away by this. We die alot faster since we cant take down all you strikers because now you can zoom anywhere you want. And dont give me all that "oh good guardians and recons can easily take down strikers with trinkets" Because either they have trinkets, are just really good(rare), have UV stuff, or the striker sucks.

2. Balancing UVs. This takes the balance out of all these classes. This is even worse with a trinker(striker+trinket) because now they are even harder to beat. One good trinker with ASI UV will just dominate the whole match. Talk about stupid... (I dont care about armor boosts)

3. Leavers. When someone leaves, it leaves the team with one less person. This means less capping and less help in battles. I think the team with the leaver should get something in bonus to make up for the person leaving. Like a health boost or extra damage or something

Leave your responses below. Also, if youre gonna leave a no trinketer can be good and good people can take down rich people, leave a photo or video so you can prove it. Then we can all see who is really SKILLED. And for all you trinkers, play a game with no trinkets or ASI(excluding armor). And show how well you do. The other team cant suck either

I guess this idea isnt too bad. I kinda disagree on the UV thing, though, cuz it doesn't really ruin a match. Only ASIs on toothpicks do

Trinkets/Uvs allow more customization. You can go for speed, damage, life or whatever.
They might need some tweaking so they are all equal and people dont max everything, but not complete removal.

And about leavers, it's not so simple as throwing more life/damage.

For leavers, the obvious solution would be to make people sit out a round..

Lets say that there is a 4v4 match, and someone leaves. Nothing happens, until a member of the 2nd team dies. This player then ends up sitting out until the next player dies, in which case he will be given the countdown to respawn, and the newest dead person would take his place. That way, there is never a numeric advantage.

The team without any leavers will still be strongest however- weaker players will die, and then sit out while stronger players will be allowed to stay in and effectively prevent the weaker player from ever getting put back in. It would however, work if the average "skill" level of the team was higher. This could be fixed through coding that made it so that players who die more are respawned more often until they had more time in game. Lets say it is 2 vs 4, and the 2 players who are sitting out have played unequal amounts of time... a player dies... who gets back in? The one who has less time playing.

This could also be applied to normal games in order to help balance the game, although it does cost people their time, and isn't very "fun"... kind of like arena mode in TF2- no one wants to sit out. So I'd recommend it as just a fix for leavers only.

Trinkets always confuse me.

Strikers have to have a disadvantage HP wise. Most dont.
When i go striker (avg bout 7k) I notice Im the only Striker with no trinkets on. O.o
Strikers are untouchable. that has to change.

there has to be some thing done about it.

Baiting and switching UVs is extremely unethical. More so than changing the RSS and not refunding those with good UVs. Also, ASI UVs are a lot less important than many people make out. What is much more important is your ability to hit the attack button immediately after releasing the shielding button. I've had numerous people claim I was using ASI when I was wearing skolver and no UVs or ASI trinkies.

As for trinkets, these are unfair to poor people. That is how PvP works. However, I do feel that it does make classes unbalanced at the top level of play, hence OOO should change them to be percentage bonuses and not direct additions (rounded to the nearest whole). HOWEVER a player with suitable skill should be able to beat a bad player with money. Though trinkets are a plus, if you just avoid getting hit they won't come into play. And if you get hit, the only person you can blame is yourself.

As for leavers, these do make the game unfair. But tinkering with mechanics in damage messes up how players intend for their weapons to function, for example you might expect your flourish to finish off weaker opponents in three swings, the amount of swings you get before you get the third-shield-cancel delay. Hence, in order to just make it possible for undermanned teams to win, it'd be nice to see the cap rate increased with leavers. That's all I want to see though.

I use trinkets. I am capable of doing well with less health. I won't be posting any pics here because I don't want to play LD right now.
