It is said that the swarm was locked in the core with the Sprite Mother using an ancient seal. The Mystic Sprites managed to lock it away, but the swarm has managed to leak back out in the form of Shadow Lairs. Seeing this as an act of defiance, the Mystic Sprites and the Sprite Mother built a prison for it's essence. This would keep it from unleashing it's full power for all eternity. After sealing it, they warped it to another dimension and powered down the Dimension Cannons, the only things that can unseal it. Then they absorbed themselves into stones, and they were scattered across Cradle in inter-dimensional vaults. But the Sprite Mother was sealed for her defiance by the swarm...

This is the legend that is well known with the sprites, and is known for setting Cradle in the balance it is in now. The seal was located near the core, at the terminal that looks onto the beating heart of the world. This is a story about Phantomhamachi discovering the seal and setting out on a quest to recover these stones to save the Spirit Mother.
