Like most of yous know, the server was hacked, the hacker had increased the value of ce.
Ofcourse many people took advantage sadly....
My main concern and worry for the future is why the hacker wasnt prosecuted. This is giving out a reminder saying OOO's dont care about their players, how may this be, some of you ask. Lots of players have shreaded lots of money towards this game some not because they needed it because they wanted to expand the games evolution in ways of funding OOO. OOO made a mistake, thats ok everyone makes mistakes, but they could have not let the players which had taken advantage of the really expensive ce and gained thousands of dollars worth of ce. Thats just slapping some poor guy whos spent hundreds on this game. If yous really did care about us yous would not let those players benefit from it.
Us all from the sk community would just want a simple appoligy
A appoligy could go along way
Taking the benefits of those who took advantage of the high ce will bring you a lot of loyalty, you decide.
They already did give an apology. Also, this wasn't a hack, the Community Manager, Eurydice, informed us that this was a bug which was exploited by a single player.
"Here's an update on the situation, for those interested:
We have now confirmed that the market fluctuation was the result of a single person encountering a bug and then later exploiting the result by flooding the CE market.
We have removed the crowns that player illegitimately received, and the CE purchased by the player with those crowns.
The exchange has self-corrected.
A few other players did benefit from the market fluctuation, but our logs show that the bulk of the resulting crowns have already been sunk via Punch. As such, we will not be initiating a rollback.
We have now patched the bug that caused this situation, and we have determined that the bug was not encountered and exploited by other players. We apologize for any inconvenience and upset that the period of inflated CE prices might have caused you."
Note the apology at the end. Now graveyard this thread.
