The Black Kat always existed in this game as it has it's own spirit and file. Same implies to that left out 'frost sword', all 'kat hats', 'shroom caps' etc. They're accessible via Spiral Spy but posting images of them will be considered as spoilers which violates ToS. But everyone can use Spiral Spy. It's easy.

If anything, Vanaduke is a fiend, seeing as he's weak to piercing and immune to shadow in stage 5. Not to mention, in the wiki page of the firestorm citadel it talks about him being cursed by some deity.

Themes: Undead + Fire. 90% of its population are Zombies... the other monsters listed spawn like one or two in the stage xD
Not only is Shadow, but it is Undead. So even more reason not to be in Tier 3. It could be in 2 too, which would full circle all damage types - and in Tier 2 special damage is more important than in 1. But not 3.
If it is another Danger Mission, I hope OOO breaks that limitation of playing just one per day.

If it does curse status, there is not one 3* item that has curse resist.
only some T3 gear have Curse resistance so that automatically moves it to T3 if the black kat does inflict curse.

Uhmm what about the boss rewards?
as far someone of you or few know about the "rewards" you know there "3 of them" and they looks like theyre "Upgradables" since well you know, they looks different. so either its a T2 Boss because the "first reward" would be a 3 stars reward while the other 2 are their upgraded version.
Or this its another "expansion mission" with them being the reward of each tier. because honestly i doubt a tier 3 boss would give a tier 2 reward with the tokens. (i hope this one isnt a Expansion mission)

Again, this is just my prediction. And like all prediction, predicting future is not easy.
- any new bosses in the future will be DLC only. F2P will only have access to the basic 4 bosses in Clockworks;
- the upcoming "Oh that Dark Ritual" is going to be an event only mini-boss like Pumpkin. And like Pumpkin it will return on a regular (but limited) basis;
- more hats and furniture.

@Aumir, If you look at if you look at the stratum icon for FSC in the arcade, you will see that it is a fire stratum. Of those 90% of zombies (the only undead enemy in FSC, 100% of them are fire themed, and there are other fire themed enemies in FSC like Red Rovers and Oilers.

Then I guess that Royal Jelly Palace is normal land, due to having more mobs other than Slime mobs on it, like Gun Puppies instead of Slime Turrets, or those Lumbers and Silkwings. I guess the wiki is wrong then too! Because that huge population of 5 or so Oilers and 12 or so Flamethrowers sure overshadow (lol) the hundred or more Zombies... I think that there may be more Trojans even than those mobs. Or the lore of everyone in Almire turning into zombies and ghosts.
But yeah, if you want yet another Shadow related content as endgame, it is ok, fine. We are all going to dive into it when it comes nevertheless! But even the Swarm has more damage type variety and weaknesses, and they are pure shadowy things... (insert need of Swarm related content already and links to my old suggestions)
I think people already checked that there are "three" equips in a line, so it is a Tier 2 dungeon 99% sure... or a Expansion Mission on the other 1% *shudder*

The theme of a strata is said to be what monster family/status appears most in it. Since there can only be one theme per strata, Firestorm Citadel is Fire-Themed, since there are more fire monsters than there are undead.
Royal Jelly strata contains 4 levels, the majority of enemies are slimes, especially in the first and last levels, where there are next to no constructs.

@Aumir, I don't think you know how stratums work. FSC is fire themed because all those hundreds of zombies are also fire themed. Say you have 500 zombies, 8 Trojans, and 8 oilers. You will have 500 undead, but you will have 508 fire themed monsters (500 zombies + 8 Oilers).
In RJP, (and the level before it), most of the enemies are jellies, let's say 100. Maybe the first depth was an shock arena, so 20 of them are shock themed. We can't forget about those Silkwings, Lumbers and Gun Puppies, so lets say we have 5 Silkwings and 20 Constructs. Let's first compare statuses. 20 shock themed to 105 normal (80 slimes + 20 Constructs + 5 Fiends). Normal can't be a stratum type (read the gate construction wiki) so now we look at monster types. 100 slimes and 25 other. The RJP stratum is a slime stratum.
@Xxpapaya, We are debating wether or not a Black Kat boss would be suitable as a tier 3 boss.
By the way, it should be a t3 boss because; only 5 star armor gives curse resist, Kats are considered a somewhat difficult enemy suitable for veteran players, and t3 hasn't gotten a new boss in the longest period of time.

I think that the "Black Kat" should be a rare boss (rare, as in Mewkats, Love puppies, etc). In some gates, you have a chance of coming across a depth, similar to Candlestick Keep, maybe Candlestick Lair?

If anyone is wondering how they would fit the black kat boss (if a boss) into the stratums, the answer is simple, fix that broken elevator in the clockworks terminal and allow each elevator a different boss, (2 different stratums when there is no boss / 1 boss.)thus opening up for 4 more bosses.
