The Arms Race (Short Story) Most likely a 3-5 Chapter story on the discovery of battle sprites ( But won't happen until the end). Just from a bunch of thinking while I was bored.
This story is about 15 years after a certain knight went from recruit to vanguard (every players experience in missions but there will only be 1 "player.")
The Gremlins and Spiral Order is at an arms race (I know arms races are between factions that are not in war, but Knights and Gremlins are technically not at war).

Notes: There will be 2 types of Knights, Freelancer and Spiral Order.
Spiral Order the military of Haven.(They all wear Colbat line armour, defender line shield, and calibur,blaster,blast bomb line.)
There will be different types of knights in the Order.
Demomen (Uses bombs)
Medics (Provide support for teams.)
Swordsmen (Uses swords)
Geo Knights (The nerds and scientists of the Order)
Gunners (Uses guns)

Freelancers:Knights who used to be in the Order, but after coming to cradle they decided to make their own choices,missions,etc (Basically players in SK)
The freelancers are a branch of the Order but only do missions for them from time to time.

Prologue:

"This is outpost Echo requesting immediate evac!"

"Gremlin teams are all around us! Where are my reinforcements?!"

"This is Delta team! We are currently pinned down by gremlin gunners, requesting for support!"

"Recon Team five and six have all been wiped out, we are getting slaughtered out here!"

"This is Wegner of the Geo Knights! Our camp is under siege by gremlins!"

Feron just sat next to his comm unit, not caring for a single thing the teams has said.
After all, it was Kora's job to deal with them, not him.
Feron wondered how this had happened.
If only they had not killed Seerus or the last leader of the gremlins.
After they did, the spiral order did get a break from the gremlins, but it had been short.
The gremlins counterattacked with a much greater force, nobody in the order dared to take missions in Gremlin territory, even the freelancers.

The gremlins did somehow now have a large arsenal of weapons similiar to weapons of the order.
But one thing Feron did not understand,Why do they have such a large arsenal of weapons?
Gremlins had always focused on survival and only equipped most of their army with hatchets that was made of recycled metal.
Gremlins did have armies of contructs but still did not explain the large boost in gremlin technology.

Every recon team that went deep into gremlin territory to gather intel never came back.
Either they were captured or dead, neither one was better.
So, the Spiral Order knows nothing about the current state of the gremlins.
But there was Feron knew about, every time gremlins raid the knights, knights ranging from fresh recruits to battle hardened Vangaurds will continue to fall until this threat is eliminated.
"Well, there is a emergency meeting tomorrow, I hope that will solve this mess or our foothold in the clockwork will crumble." Feron thought.
It did not.

Note:I know there are a lot of grammer and other mistakes, but typing in mobile is hard even without the countless glitches I encounter.
So, this might not be turned out the way I would like it to be.
