Afterlife
"It's over." Herex said as he but his bio weapon in front me. I tried to get up, but it felt like holding the weight of the sky. He only had a stick, so I could beat him. I reached for my backup sword.I was able to move again. Herex's stick changed into a dread venom striker. Since when did it have that power? Before I could react, he drove his sword through my heart. Ow. That was the last thing I thought before the world dissolved around me. I blacked out.
When I woke up, I felt weightless. I looked down an screamed. I was weightless because I was a ghost. I was forgotten, dispatched, simply... Gone. I wanted to scream and hide for eternity, but I couldn't. I had to tell them I was
really dead. I needed to move quickly, so I ran as fast as I can. After two meters of running, I was hung back by an invisible, strong force. When I looked back, I saw a chain tied to the grave. Great, I look like a dog. The only thing I need now is bone. I need to try
To get out of here. I spotted a weird book that glowed purple. I read aloud:
"One shall come back by whom has no life
Cursed and returned, he shall wield the crescent scythe.
But doomed to repeat what has been feared for has been made
To reflect on the past, and desire to fade.
His greed who has taken over be done.
To become the last, and only one."
When I finished the page, he dropped the book. The crescent scythe? The last and only one? What does that mean? Before I could think of it anymore, a shadowy hand grabbed me and pulled me down into chaos.
Most embarrassing thing that happened to me in the afterlife: Peeing on my ghostly armor. My face blushed as I screamed in the darkness. When I saw light again, I was in a flaming citadel. Then I realized my chain disappeared. Great timing chain. Now I could escape while a vortex of chaos tries to suck me in again. I realized that this was the firestorm citadel every tier 3 knight was talking about. "B-B-But I am tier 2! What am I doing here? I didn't go beyond the portals! Who invited me?" I said. Suddenly, a booming voice behind me said to me calmly: "You are dead, that gives you
an automatic invitation.". I looked behind me and saw cradle's most ugly face/mask. Only one face fits the description: Vanduke! I tried to whimper away, but Vanduke growled and said, "Don't try to resist, that makes my job so much easier. Now come along, the judges of the dead will decide your fate."
I will admit one thing: The judges Of the dead has no style at all. They wore black leather dusters with combat boots. Their faces were covered up with golden masks. They wore many kinds of rubies, sapphires,
Diamonds and emeralds. They looked like metallic clown/rapper dudes. "Zack Black has saved many
Knights, although many innocent monsters killed. He even Destroyed a training ground that belonged to emberlight." The first judge said. "Guilty for blowing up an alimire terminal as although with our strongest forces at the gaulent." the second judge said.
"Yet has been teaming up with the HQ, an organization that tries to kill our king.
He will never join the ranks of alimire. Enternal outcast life for Black." The third judge declares. I clench my fists. "NO! I will not
Join the ranks if the alimirian, and I certainly won't live enternity as an outcast. You will bring me
back to life since I didn't do any of that!" I shouted. They stared at me and said in unison: "The choice isn't yours, boy. Have fun living alone.". They pounded their gavels, and I disappeared.
When I reappeared, I was in my least favorite place; candlestick keep. I tried to find something to do, bu I couldn't read the book, play with the Kats, Or just commit suicide because I am a freakin' ghost. My heart sank, thinking of all of the people I loved and sworn to protect. My mom, my brothers
And sisters, my grandma and Feron. I cried. I can't believe how they would react if I told them the truth. I decided that I should stop sobbing and I should avenge my friends who have been murdered in cold blood by alimire. I went off to scout the citadel.
I never knew how much I could get done in a week without following orders. I formed a truce with emberlight, scouted every part of Vanduke's palace and fully armed everyone except me. "Where are you going to find the right weapon?" A
emberlight knocker said. "I will find out later, right now, I am going to moorecraft manor to find more information about alimire." I replied, trying to act calm. The truth was, I don't know if my plan will go bloodily right. I traveled up the depths to get to moorecraft manor.
"Welcome to this manor, don't expect me to be glad to see you." the desk clerk said. Nice guy, isn't he? I strolled around the archives trying to look for any info, but no luck. When I was about to give up and return to emberlight, I hear: "Zack?". I look around and faced my little brother: Joe. I Hugged him, or at least try to, since I passed right through him. Wait... The first line of the page I read, something like 'one returns with no life' was true.
Or at least to me since I have returned to their minds and memories. The desk clerk scowled and disappeared along with the other residents. "Why are you a ghost?" my brother asks. I would have taken a week explaining. But I gave him the eight word description, "Died, outcasted, built an army to beat alimirians.". There. Eight words. Luckily, my brother understood. He nodded
Grimly and went down to the elevator. I saw a patch of ground that caught my
eye.It looked like a cave to somewhere... I decided to take a look inside.
I walked...Er, floated for miles. Then, I came to a room with a silver tipped wickedly sharp scythe. "He shall wield the crescent scythe." I muttered, remembering the page. "Why yes, it is!" a voice boomed. I turned around and found myself face to face with the desk clerk. I raised an eyebrow since the man carried two M16s on his wings. "I am surprised anyone found it, since I tried to hide my treasure away from the prophecy. However, Congratz! It's the first time to be seen by someone like you. But, It will be the last you'll ever see."
The clerk fireed his guns.I flew off the ground an tackled the clerk. The clerk fired more bullets, which all hit me in the chest. I gasped and then buried his face to the ground. I pointed the gun at the clerks head and pulled the trigger. The clerk dropped dead. I looked back with a painful look on my face. The clerk used his last part of his life to say this: "The last person who had that scythe lost everything. That's the curse of the scythe. You might as well fade away." I thought about it, after all of the sorrow I have had, I should just fade away. Wait, the second part of the prophecy was in action. But I raced down to emberlight with the scythe anyway. "Let's go" I said. The whole emberlight arm and I marched torward Vanduke's palace.
Two words to describe the fight: short, bloody. It was all ups and downs. But I had the hardest job: facing Vanduke. Vanduke laughed wildly as he swung at me. I sidestepped and kept using the scythe's power. "CUTLESS CRESCENT!" I yelled. I disappeared and reappeared behind Vanduke. A huge gash was cut from his chest. This went on for
many hours. Then, I hit his face with all of my power. Vanduke split in half. The mask was the only thing that was left. Instead
of keeping it as a trophy of honor, I mailed it to Feron. When I looked around, I finally understood what the last line meant. 'You shall be the last and only one left'. I was the only one alive in the room. Everyone else was dead.
I can only assume you clicked "Suggestions" instead of "Treasure Vault". Not sure how, but yeah. Move it please.
