Lack of Battle Sprites in preview?

I'm a little confused about something.
Before when we were discussing about the new mobbing mini-enemies, Nick mentioned that the Battle Sprites would be a large help in dealing with them. (I think this was from the original Dustbun thread, but I can't seem to find the post itself)

So what I'm curious about is if they're going to balance them according to fighting them solo or with the Sprites based on the feedback. It seems to me that this preview is more about getting UI feedback and learning more about what to change on the new levels than getting feedback on the enemies.

Now this is just me hypothesizing, but I don't think balancing the new enemies based on Knights battling them without all the intended tools is just a bit too silly. I'm guessing that they have the Sprites ready for the most part and they are going to be released after the preview players get back to us saying that fighting the new enemies is hopeless with what we've got. They want us to know we need the Battle Sprites in the future.

Thoughts?

I see where you are going

I see where you are going this is a good point if Nick said that, could you please move this to the Preview section of the forums? It's located more towards the bottom.

Then it won't get all jumbled up with General Discussion rambling + more likely to be seen.

There is a simple explanation for this.

Battle Sprites aren't in a stage ready for beta testing.

Well I would have, but it's more of a speculation thread than anything truly related to the preview event. OOO said not to clutter up that forum if you're not in the event itself, so I'd rather not bother them by filling their dedicated forum with our wild mass guessing.

But if Eury or another OOO forum watcher thinks it should go over there, I'd be obliged to do so.

Such a pity

Spiral Knights doesn't have some foreign server that we can data-mine /SHOT/

Or they just want it to be some sort of surprise for everyone, without testers peeking.

Bringing this back up.
After reading through what everyone has said of the mobbing minis, I get the overall opinion that they are little more than cannon fodder. Their AI, spawn rate, and/or attack patterns needs some tweaking before we can really call them a threat.

Bringing this back to the topic on hand, how will these new cannon fodder swarms fare once we gain the increased firepower of Battle Sprites? In fact, how will the other enemies fare? I was under the belief that these new mini enemies would be scattered throughout all levels in the Clockworks to help supplement the standard enemies so that they stand a chance against us and the new Sprites. Was I wrong? It seems that the majority of Knights in the testing server are breezing through these new enemies, having already memorized their one attack/gimmick.
So is this game going to become a ridiculous cakewalk (difficulty wise, anyways) once we get the Battle Sprites or will every monster, including these new ones, receive a buff of some sort so there is still some semblance of a challenge in the Clockworks?

Suggestion

Swarm enemies needs to be like the ones seen in the magma place in Ys: The Oath in Felghana
Small little bugs that deals 1 of your health bars but they will come in packs of... 30?
You will need exactly tree hits to kill them, no mather what weapon are you using, like the rock blocks
