Synopsis:

In the aftermath of the war that claimed the Knights' homeworld, many fled to the far reaches of the universe - many crashed into the world of Cradle. One ship, the Slipstream, crashed there as many others did. The three Knight crew of Tempest, Valkyra, and Brutax found themselves helping the new colony of Knights on Crade. Soon, however - they realized that there was something deeper lurking in the region close to Rescue Camp Beta, across the face of the world from the first Rescue Camp. When they venture into the wilds, they discover a group of strange creatures searching for an artifact called The Shadow Key - said to be able to control a great power that could destroy the Knights of Cradle forever.

Author's notes: Yep. There was another Rescue Camp. You didn't think everything just came crashing down in one place do you? :P But yes. This is a spankin' new story for your reading pleasure, set on the world of Cradle. It's going to have a bit of a different feel to it, but still be fully Spiral Knights. This is going to flesh out the actual "world" of Cradle - which, as somewhere that's been around a while, would have artifacts and crazy things to play with.

Dunno how long this is going to clock in at, but plan on novella-ish (~30,000 words) length. SO GET COMFY.
