I barely play 2 hours a day anymore and I'm bored. And LD is horrendously unbalanced, not to mention I already have all the tokens I want. How about a new mode, or a new boss, or that battle sprite update we've been taunted with for 6 months?
The game gets boring when you're just grinding the same levels in order to progress. You want crowns to upgrade your gear, but it just takes so many crowns.
The game would be less boring if there was something other than FSC that was really profitable. Ideally something that is constantly changing, with random levels, random themes, huge variety of enemies and levels... oh wait! It does exist! It's called the arcade! Too bad the arcade is significantly less profitable than FSC.
maybe if people didn't treat spiral knights like a JOB instead of like a GAME. The whole point is to HAVE FUN. If you're not having fun, why are you doing it?
When I'm bored of playing Spiral Knights...i go play another game.

I spectate Lockdown when I get bored (read: have absolutely nothing to do, not even farming.). Today people were trying to get some Proto kills in T3. It was amazing :O

Then.. I stop playing. WOAH!
I have plenty of games, both on and off Steam, and books. When I get bored of SK I take a break. Terraria (getting used to how it works again before the 1.2 update that's going to add 400+ new items), Unepic, Torchlight 2, Minecraft (or more accurately Feed The Beast), and Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams are what else I'm playing currently depending on my mood at the time. Giana Sisters has some of the best music I've heard in a game in a long time and was on sale for 80% off so was definitely worth picking up.
Or I'll go for a drive and see if I find anything to take photos of, I'm a nature photographer as well as a gamer.

If your bored, stick to the SK forum, help new recruits learn things you know but they don't. Or just try selling some materials.
I play TERA, it's pretty fun.
Play another game. Seriously, forcing yourself to play the game or try to find what else to do when you are bored of it makes it pretty easy to hate it.
And only play LD if you feel masochistic: it's so unbalanced, it's more of a gamble to see if the broken players go in your team so you can serve as a meatshield to them.
I'm taking an extended break from SK, just waiting for the Spiralmon update to give it a go and then stop playing for months on end again, probably gonna try and sell all my stuff for tf2; that strange PDA isnt going to buy itself after all!
Or, instead of playing another game, you could simply take a nap or exercise, or donate blood. Time wasting is great, but seriously....

But yeah. It's better just to give SK a break when you're bored of it. I've been waiting for like a year now for SK to get interesting again.
If you get tired of spiral knights you must not be doing the arcade, just do the newest arcade branch each day and I'm sure you won't get tired of it.

Yes, you can always take a break, but when you come back you're still returning to the same thing over and over again. Even the arcade can get repetitive when it's the same levels with different mobs. The only bright spots are Danger Rooms and maybe Arenas. However, after a while you can predict what is in each Danger Room from just the layout (sometimes from just the shape on the minimap), while Arenas are always the same waves (if you know the name of the arena, you can pretty much predict what enemies will spawn, where they will spawn, and when they will spawn). Not to mention you have the chance of a really annoying strata. IDK why, but people still like spamming purple crystals, which end up creating the most annoying stratas: Shock, Fiends, Undead (Candlestick Keep spam!), and Poison.
You can get bored when you're out of mist and sitting around haven. In that instance, you have a valid point. However, bored of the game itself can't be solved by just taking a nap.
going to the haven and talking... just talk with yur guildmates like... 4realz.. there are some guilds.. that are just completely NON-social. they don't communicate well with eachother and they completely ignore other people. make guild events, trivias, anything... that way you'll ATTRACT more members and what not and have MORE fun.

Shadows Lairs? Core? Not exactly..
Shadows lairs are essentially an alternate path to the core. If I recall correctly from my Shadow Lair run, you still end up at The Core by the end, after Sanctuary.
You can debate the recon module at the entrance to the core describes the finale of the unknown passage perfectly. Therefore, you can assume the following Sanctuary to be inside the core.
Cutter & Volt Driver with auto aim. I claim to hate auto aim in a competitive setting, but I also find people's reactions to an inescapable chainsaw to be too hilarious to pass up when I'm too bored out of my skull to care about contradicting myself. It's not so much about doing well or winning, it's to be as annoying as humanly possible just to laugh at all the sheer rage it generates.
That, or just play another game. Has anyone here played this neat indie title by Mortis Ghost called OFF? I highly recommend it.

I guess that makes sense, Traevelliath( the whole game boredom thing). It really does depend on how you think about it. I think the game is really fun... until you hit Vanguard, then its fun for, like, 10 minutes. For me anyways. Compounds and danger rooms are really the only exciting thing that you can do EASILY. Sure shadow lairs are fun, but the only reason to do them is for the Sanctuary, and I don't really need to go there.
Pretty much, its just not random enough. Why not throw in some mini bosses around? And I'm not talking about drop pods, those are just annoying...
But, in truth, when I feel like I must wait for enough mist to play a mission, I just sit around the training area and blow Scuttles for a bit. (Yea, Ive had 3 responses now, but hey, I'm bored... of SK! Now thats 4 responses!)

Huh, I guess you could be right, considering I haven't done a SL yet and I'm basically gathering my information from the wiki. However, where exactly is the Sanctuary? Everyone presumes it's in the core because of the way the core appears (yeah I've obviously been there because who hasn't done Vanaduke by now). I guess the elevator at the end of the bridge might be where you come up tho, if it's ever scripted into the game. However, like I said, no experience on SL's so all my arguments are probably invalid xD
