I clicked the link and found something
I found out that I can get elite orbs of alchemy on stratum 4(depth14 to 17)
But does it mean that elite orbs can only be found in the arcade , depth 14 to 17?
Because the def elite missions are 4 star missions if I'm not wrong , shouldn't there be a possibility that we can find elite orbs of alchemy there?

Missions are simply a set of
Missions are simply a set of floors that falls on a certain depth range. If a mission has a floor that is within the range fo finding elites and has treasure boxes, here is a chance of the orbs.

Right. Stratum 4 is depths 14-17, whether you access them through the Arcade or through missions.

I don't know what the word fragment "def" is supposed to mean there, but the difficulty level (normal, advanced, elite) of the mission has nothing to do with its depth. And, before you ask, there have been many, many threads about whether difficulty level affects the drop rate for orbs of alchemy. Last I checked, the conclusion was "We don't know."

Pretty sure on the "higher droprates" is somewhat correct. It increases Heat and Crown payout from enemies, I believe that all it does is decrease the chances of hearts dropping from enemies, leaving an open spot for extra loot. I don't believe boxes are affected by this.
However, this is just a theory and it's pretty much what Bopp just said.

Oh, thanks. There are too many uses of the words "elite" and "defender" in this game, and I'm too oblivious to what the ranks are called, after flying through them without paying attention.
By the way, if the Defender Elite missions are 4-star, then you expect them to live on Stratum 5, not Stratum 4.

there seems to be some overlap between stratum 4 and 5. So far, all of the 4* orbs I've found have been in stratum 4.

I was not commenting on where orbs are. I was commenting on how the star-levels of weapons, armor, etc. correspond to strata:
* 0-star equipment is intended for use in Stratum 1.
* 1-star equipment is intended for use in Stratum 2.
* 2-star equipment is intended for use in Stratum 3.
* 3-star equipment is intended for use in Stratum 4.
* 4-star equipment is intended for use in Stratum 5.
* 5-star equipment is intended for use in Stratum 6.
So, if a knight is running "4-star missions", I would expect those missions to take place in Stratum 5, which is depths 19-22.
Now, to address your issue of which orbs occur on which strata: This is all explained on the wiki page "Rarity". Yes, 4-star orbs are expected on Stratum 4. So running missions in Stratum 5 might not be a good idea.
By the way, I have no personal experience with orbs or fire crystals. I haven't heated or crafted anything since the update. I've just read the wiki and forums, and I try to help others read the wiki and forums, to find answers to their questions.

the two arenas on 15-16 of Golden King gate are great for farming them right now
and the arena on 19 gives a lot of the 4* crystals.

I agree that Sparks of Life seem more common than alchemy orbs. I have never seen a thread that gives any reliable data on drop rates for alchemy orbs. (And I read the forums basically every day.)

I think the drop rate of orbs from boxes on elite is probably around 5-7%.
Best place to farm orbs? Arenas ofc, on elite difficulty. Once done enter the gate again and repeat

Yes,he ment that,but he did say that the 5-7% chance is on Elite mode.
I cant tell if that percentage changes if u are on different modes though. I do find it kind of too high too,from my gaming experience. I maybe should do some experiments to see if i can get a better answer of: 'Does the percentage of getting orbs chance if u do a different mode (normal,advanced,elite)?'
Ill probably never get a secure answer,but atleast a better one.
Some people claim that its just pure luck that is all involved.
Some people can find lots of them,some barely. Which is kind of true to be honest
