Which Sword is better for Boss runs? Preferably RT, JK and Vana.
Avenger or Cutter?
well, it depends on your playstyle.
if you want to be rather safe, get DA. it's knockback on the first swing is wnough to keep enemies at bay. keep in mind though that it deals elemental damage.
if you want to be a bit risky, take DVS. it's poison is useful cause even if you get hit the damage you take is reduced, and it deals normal damage. it's not as powerful as DA, but it's sure fun. best used with barriers.
Combuster for RT and JK
But it's better to use guns vs Vana, cause he has about 35-40k HP on advanced difficulty, also it will be difficult to use sword on 3 and 5 stage, cause fireballs spin around him.
Moodswingmodz, Cutters and Sealed Swords are not really comparable --- different damage types, length, width, speed, etc. You might want to check out my detailed sword guide to learn more about your options.
Divine Avenger is great for all of the boss levels you mentioned: in RT it keeps the jellies away from you if you time both swings right and it will kill lumbers easily, in IMF it keeps most of the enemies at bay fairly easily (just make sure you know the timing of the hits on mecha knights) it will also almost guarantee (with the charge) that you will send roarmulus to the next phase, in Vana, while brandish might be "better" for it to some people, I think that Divine Avenger is so much more fun (especially in that one circular room with the spikes at the center on D26, theres so many numbers!)
All in all, the cutter line has very fun weapons, but Divine Avenger might be better for your purposes
I don't see Blitz Needle on that list.
well, it depends on your play style.
if you want to be rather safe, get Brandish. it's knockback on the first swing/2nd/3rd swing/charge is wnough to keep enemies at bay/dead in 1 hit. keep in mind though that it deals elemental damage, or shadow if going nightblade.
if you want to be a bit safe and the best, take Brandish. everything about it is useful cause you kill evrything and your not afraid of anything, and it deals normal damage. it's more powerful than anything else in this game, but it's is boring. best used with more brandish and polaris.
thanks for the trolling post buddy.
I happen to have a Dread Venom Striker as well as a Divine Avenger and I have invested some time into using them both. They are both good swords but the most practical choice is probably the Divine Avenger.
Now I love my Dread Venom Striker and I often like to mess around with it in arcade but it's got a few drawbacks.
Although Dread Venom Striker is fully capable of dishing out numbers it requires a lot of consistent swings with little breathing room. Players will often be in an enemies face right until it is about to attack forcing players to block often resulting in shield bumps which send enemies sliding across a room. This can be extremely annoying to both you and other party members.
So in a nutshell Dream Venom Striker is a good secondary weapon for taking out weak foes and applying poison but there are better choices for primary weapons.
Divine Avenger has a nice charge attack and it's normal swings have a knock back effect which will usually keep enemies at bay. That's all that really needs to be said about Divine Avenger...
Edit: Forgot to mention that this thread probably belongs in the arsenal.
1 Answer.......Brandish line >:D
