I'm running into issues with our connection when playing Spiral Knights in same house with my aunt. We continuously loose connection all the time. I normally port forward my games which can help smooth over connections I find, especially with games where you host from your computer.. but I cannot port forward to two computers at once. I've talked to my ISP about it, they said port forwarding, but they recognize you cannot port forward to 2 computers. After much exhaustive searching online it seems the only solution to our problem is specifying in Spiral Knights itself to use certain ports on one computer and different ports on another computer, sort of how you can set what ports you want other ports to use like torrent apps for example. Is there anyway at all to change on one of our computers which ports spiral knights is using so we can both play without issues?
I need to know how to change ports in spiral knights so we can both play with ports forwarded
Only other solution I found was port forwarding to one computer and DMZ the other computer, but I do not want to d this. IT seems this is a common issue with PC games searching google for hours today. unfortunately most game companies do not expect there to be multiple PC gamers in the same household... this would all be fixed if we could change the ports Spiral Knights uses...
If there is no way to change ports. then I have to resort to DMZ or buying a 2nd IP from my ISP which I have no interest in doing. Anyone have any suggestions?
We both connect wirelessly and our modem/router with our Brighthouse lightning is a Motorola BHNSBG+6580.
I've also looked into port triggering but doesn't seem like I can find any configuration that works, only port forwarding works but only one computer at a time!
