Hi! I am new and thought id share a story!
During my childhood in the early 90's I had trouble sleeping in the summer. There are many mosquitoes where I lived. Usually I couldn't sleep for whole nights, because they kept biting me. This happened every summer I spent there.
One summer I noticed a web of white dots and a spider in it. I figured out the white dots were trapped mosquitoes after staring for a while. The web on the wall was about a foot from the edge of my bed; pillow side. I wondered if I should kill it or let it stay, since that summer I could finally sleep, and the spider was far enough to not be able to bite me.
It was my first choice between life and death.
I decided to live in mutual harmony with the wall spider and get some sleep while mosquitoes were ritually sacrificed for the rest of the summer. My strong blood as a child led mosquitoes to my bed, and the scent of the spider web lured them away from it and into its web. Later on I learned that all spiders are poisonous but they cant pierce through human flesh, so even if they bite, you wont be poisoned. Mosquitoes on the other hand carry many diseases and can pierce through flesh. Repellants and electronics against mosquitoes were faulty in the 90's anyways and still are.
If only everybody could read this...
Great story anyways.
