I played Maplestory in beta,
I played Maplestory in beta, and then up until they added in the dragon world with the 4th level jobs. I got tired of the constant hacking, the terrible community, and seeing "pinoy" and "naruto/sasuke" in every name.
At least in Spiral Knights you don't have to camp a map for hours on end and chase off anybody who comes in and tries to "kill steal" from you just to get ahead.

I thought the controls were customizable. .___.
I stopped playing when they added the Mechanic class, I don't know. They changed the experience curve, and as a result they changed the levels of a lot of the monsters. So a lot of the quests I was on are now too high a level for me, and that's really frustrating, lol, because the quest level requirements haven't changed.
It's also...nonstop grindfest, I feel. Most of the quests are "Go kill 250 of these guys" "Collect 10000 of this one drop that's super rare and only drops from one monster in the entire game, who is also super rare!" I don't know. Maybe I'll play it some more, since I have yet to reach "end game" in there.
I used to for awhile, but I haven't for a few months really. I'm considering playing again because of the cake/pie thing, but I don't know about the rewards...I'd really just want to play for the novelty, lol.
I recently got into Vindictus though. It's kind of better. >.>
