This weekend we made a booboo, and for a short time, prismatic bolted vees were available at the low, low price of zero energy on the Supply Depot.

Some good Spiral Knights citizens let us know, and we fixed the Supply Depot pricing. However, before the fix, some not-as-awesome citizens took rather egregious advantage of this, with some managing to hit the Gimme Button hundreds of times, generating a flood of prismatic bolted vees. This resulted in about 16 million extra prismatic bolted vees in the ecosystem. What these folks intended to do with that many, we’re not sure. Perhaps dump them in a pile on the ground and roll around in them.*

In any event, many of you have noticed that we’re in the process of cleaning this up. Please pardon our dust while this goes on during the remainder of this week. Penalties have been issued to the folks who clearly took advantage instead of reporting the problem to us per the Terms of Service’s instructions. We will also be removing vast swaths of extra prismatic bolted vees, because let’s face it, they’re a fire hazard. Someone could trip and fall, or poke out an eye. The Strangers assured us 20 is a safe number, so 20 bolted vees were left where once there were larger numbers. Once we’re done with our cleanup, if you still find yourself with too many prismatic bolted vees, please contact support, and we will remove any extras. We look much more kindly upon those who come forward than those who do not.
