No, it is impossible for the Market to contain Energy without real-money purchases. However, people are willing to sell their Energy for in-game currency which can be used for various things. Any and all Energy found within the game was bought somehow with money and as such has a set price be it inflated or not.
As Prominis-Alt has said, you can access the Energy Market where players freely sell their Energy for a set price.
if you go to the supply depot, on the left hand side, there's a section called market. There, you can set a price that you want to buy 100 energy for, using crowns. Then, someone else will presumably sell it to you, and there you go.
