Recently I have been trying to run Spiral Knights on Ubuntu on a HP Elitebook 8540p. Everything works great except the following:

I am able to move except my character is "locked" facing one direction. This is the case whether I use the mouse, WASD, or the arrow keys.

As soon as I hit "enter" to bring up the chat box to type in (lower left) - I can turn (direction follows mouse)! But as soon as I hit enter again (finish sentence), I at that facing the last direction the mouse was pointing when the chat box was up.

Okay, I know there are many topics with this, but I couldn't find my problem. My problem is not that it slutters and randomly freezes, that happens to everyone. My problem is that I have a constant lag with around a 0.5 second delay. So it's like my hitbox is always behind me. Enemies hit me, even if I get my shield up just before getting hit, walking down from spikes just before it goes up, and still getting hit. Not to mention Blast Network, where every single enemy bomb pushes me back. I'm playing like this for 1 year now, and I'm getting really tired of this.

Why cant i get prestige points from prestige missions?
Is this some kind of bug or is it some king of a game rule? Please help?

I'll be the first to admit that I only know the basics when it comes to computers and troubleshooting. I usually have an issue downloading new patches but, they have always resolved themselves. However, for some reason with this recent Update I cannot get into the game. I have gotten past the initial Download (somewhat), I get to the log in screen and when I click on the knight I want to play sometimes it goes to the screen and says it's finishing the Download and then I get disconnected from the server or I get disconnected while it says I'm entering the Ready Room.

Hello fellow knights

After today's update, my game stopped working. I had some issues with this game before, and always after updates. Im really getting tired of this..

When I start the game and log on, I only get black screen when I should see my knight in Ready room (thou I see icons for gear, options, friends etc), and I also hear the sound. I can click go to Haven, but at the 90% of the loading, I hear the sound of Haven, but still, black screen. All icons are visible.

After the newest patch today (of which trying to check the patch notes crashes it) all I've been getting from starting up SK is the loading screen staying stuck at "Resolving Downloads...". I've tried looking this up and it appears to have happened before but with everybody suggesting to un-install Steam or the game itself. The response from that is that it does not work and it somehow fixes itself or the user with the problem simply says "nevermind. It's fixed" with no explanation of how it is.

I have a Gateway Windows 7 PC with 4GB RAM, live in the U.S. and for a long time have never had any performance issues playing this game. However, the past month or so I will many times be at 2 bars while playing.

I've updated my drivers per the sticky note instructions. That seemed to help the first couple times playing, but now back to 2 bars. I've done disk defrag and disk cleanup and unistalled all unnecessary programs but my physical memory is still in the 40%+ range before starting SK.

For some reason, I can operate my Facebook client (this one) just fine when it comes to logging in on the site and posting on the forums.

Inexplicably, when I try to actually login to my SK account client, I reach the "Performing Login" page and it simply sits there. I'm unsure if this is an issue of speed on my half, but I can access my Steam account and standard client just fine.

Is anyone else suffering a similar issue or is this purely with my account/connection?

So sometimes, when I go to haven, get a lockdown match, or change of any kind of map, I just randomly get a blackscreen, and then I get sent to the login screen. When im on the login screen im not able to login again because apparently im already logged in, until I get automatically logged off (10minute or something).

I get a Failed to connect to server message. I really get this a LOT of times, and it makes me leave my guild behind when im on GvG or something.
Any solution?
