I've been playing with the Swiftstrike buckler ever since I first found the recipe on Basil. With the correct combo of gear I've gotten myself to have Ultra in the use of 2 types of weapons, and while this is great it does me little good when going into the T3 levels.

I bought it do that I could have a super-effective weapon to use against the jellies in the jelly passage and I was wondering if there are any things that I should make sure to do or not to do, since I've never really used a gun offensively before.

I'm thinking about getting a Faust but I want to be able to use the charge attack, which means I need curse resistance.

Does anyone have any idea how much I need so that my Faust won't get cursed? What armor would you recommend?

EDIT: I also want to add that the character I'm using will be used mostly for JK runs, so some piercing and normal defense is preferred.

After trying out a bunch of different weapons, I've decided that I like the heavier swords and plan on crafting a Troika along it's upgrade path. I love the feel of the sword - slow, powerful, with a nice & wide swing, but it's a little *too* slow. I'd really like something just a tad faster, but after perusing the wiki it doesn't look like such a sword exists. However, I do have options - attack speed can be boosted in a bunch of ways.

I was thinking about some combination of:

I have made it to the royal jelly plenty times, yet I have beat him only once, because of him healing, and the 1 time I did beat him, 1 of the party members
had a vile striker. Should I go for 2 swords with a vile striker as my second? Right now my sword is silent nightblade. I don't really want to give that up, so 2 swords seem the better option. Perhaps a poison bomb or something like that? anyway, these are the things I currently use for a jelly run: 4* Silent nightblade, 2* Blast bomb, 3* solid cobalt helm, 3* dusker coat, and a 3* horned owlite shield.

So I'm one of those players who plays exclusively with handguns. Right now my typical setup includes a Mega Magnus, Shadow Alchemer Mk II, and a Cryo Driver.

I want to take another weapon into the Clockworks, either a sword or a bomb. Its main purpose is to act as "backup" when dealing with sticky situations handguns do poorly in; basically, something for more reliable crowd control and breaking lines, and is generally efficient against all enemy types.

I currently have a Freezing Vaporizer Mk II—an amazing weapon for these purposes—but I would like to hear opinions about other gear.

Question:

Is the "Damage Penalty vs Fiend" an indication of:

You taking more damage from Fiends or you giving less damage to Fiends?

Cold Iron Carver.
Silent Nightblade.
Dark Thorn Blade.
Cryo Driver, thinking of swapping for an Avenger whenever i can get the bloody sealed sword.

I'm thinking of swapping the Cold Iron Carver for something with a bit more utility since i've got coverage on all 3 special damage types, but what weapon should i use for that? Could keep my Cryo driver for that, but since its elemental, it wont work well against Beasts and....Slimes is it?

I was wondering about my near future endgame equipment and I just wanted some input and suggestion about what you guys think about my armor/weapons would be appreciated. I have the four star variants of all these items with the same UVs listed and most the recipes I just need to craft and level up.

Armor set for Tier 3 Weapons: DA, planning on GF, storm driver UV construct low not sure about 4th suggestions?

Helm: Vog cub cap UV shock medium

Armor: Vog Cub Coat/Divine Mantle UV piercing low
