Have a suggestion for Spiral Knights? We would like to hear it.

PVP boss runs

What I am suggesting is a team vs team race.

There would be one floor before the boss that would be based off the jelly farm level (with a variety of monsters that would be different for each boss).

This would be a timed race with points being given for % of Crowns and materials collected as well as % of monsters killed. (thus a team that rushes through would not necessarily score higher)(there are no minerals as their sizes are random)(CR and materials on your screen would be able to be picked up by another team member)

Selling Items in mass

We all have several thousands of crowns worth of materials in our inventory, the only problem is that it would require several thousands of clicks to sell them.

I propose that a new way to sell items be implemented, one that would allow the player to select how many materials they wish to sell to a vendor/stranger, this could be done either by a scroll button or by inputting the number of the selected material you wish to sell. This would allow players to spend more time in game and less standing in front of strangers as they watch you slowly empty your materials into their hands.

New specialist armours

As we all know there are several specialist armors and even a few specialist weapons.

So far the only monsters covered by specialist are Fiend, undead, beast, and slime.

While there are two weapons that are made to combat gremlins (Blackhawk, and Sentenza) and two for construct (deconstructor, heavy deconstructor) these weapons don't really pack much of a punch.

I would like to see some more weapons and armor designed for construct and gremlins.

Perhaps an elemental magnus line for constructs, a shadow calibur line made for gremlins.

Level Ideas

If we're not going to get a level editor, then I might as well suggest this instead. Next best thing is still new levels.

A level based on pickups (U76 suggested this a bit, and I'd like to further it a bit)

I think that it would be really nifty if OOO made a level based on pickups like vials and barriers. That is, had them infinitely respawn, and throw a variety of situations that warrant using them at us.

Maybe you have finished the game. Maybe, you might even get BORED of it!(god forbid) Honestly,once you reach somewhere in the game,it just gets boring.Now,i will not even pretend to be close to it, but i am sure it is there.

So,people are getting bored.What do you do? You make a new game. But, how do you make something a sequel when there isn't much better gameplay and mechanics than Spiral Knights? Well,you utilise objects found(but not interacted with)in the existing game.
You are probably thinking right, unless you can't remember the start of the game.

Reworking Family Damage Bonuses

Giving credit where credit is due.
Inspired by Glacies's suggestion.

Each family damage bonus has a special effect vs. those families (in addition to bonus damage):

  • vs. Undead: permanently destroys zombies under the influence of Grim Totems. Howlitzers don't form flying heads after destruction.
  • vs. Beasts: doesn't induce teleportation in Wolvers.
  • vs. Slimes: ?
  • vs. Fiends: destroyed devilites do not transform into other devilite types.

Aurora Isles - The jelly farm

Open the green jelly room! Its been long enough and there is next to no reason to not do it. So OOO remove the wall and let us into the area we have been denied and teased with for so long!

change health bars so that it doesn't go by percentages; add silver and gold bars after 30 and 60 hp.
add shield hp (if possible) to text backing.

These weapons have long range, but almost no area of effect. Think flourish second hit, but with a bit longer range. They would be almost instant on the first hit, and would probably act like a sword callahan (locks you in place briefly, plays the same animation on the first hit), but recovers faster. Second attack would mimic the first attack except the user takes a step or two backwards while swinging the whip, except the range would extend a bit.

Minor tweak to accessory recovery system

I was initially excited by the word of the new "recover accessory" system, but the current implementation was rather disappointing. It's only worth using if you want to remove a very rare accessory, for more common items it would be cheaper to just craft another set of armor to put different accessories. I think we would get a lot more use out of the system if it was tweaked slightly, and I have an idea for how that could work.
