The Testing Server should not be meant for infinite rolling nor should it be a gateway to do so. I've seen people literally join the Testing Server just to roll on equipment they'll never obtain otherwise.

The Testing Server is meant for actually testing what the developers want us to test, not to just sit in Haven all day complaining that "I didn't get the UVs I want in the Testing Server."

The only exception to bringing Punch back would be if you plan on modifying the system and would like players to test it.

Or limit our crown amounts

Limit crown levels to 25,000 crowns, but have that 25,000 be infinite (I.E., it doesn't go down). This would allow us to buy all recipes in the game.

If that doesn't seem right, go to 35,000 so we can purchase from the strangers (3* items).

Don't remove Punch, but limit our money that we don't need.

It'll also utterly destroy the PvP testing round, if they have one.

The game shouldn't be balanced based on the power of UVs..

Disagree. On the real server

Disagree.

On the real server UV's can be used to supplement deficiencies in your build, on the test server this is more pronounced due to the lack of Krogmo trinkets and the sprite perk. Sure, rollers gonna roll, but if you want to properly test something out in the way you would personally use it then you need some way to bring it up to your own standards. Obviously coating yourself in triple max gear is not a useful test unless you can afford to do that in real life, but modest mediums are entirely practical and feasible.

I wish the test server included trinkets as well as certain special items in order to properly test real world combinations. I use Seerus mask and Kat Eye Cowl all the time, so it was a shame that a gun-centric test didn't include them. That is where test-Punch can bridge the gap.

How else am I going to be a

How else am I going to be a CTR ASI VH Ironmight Plate mail knight?

To me UV's are the gateway to experimenting with other sets with deficiencies. Otherwise all I was using on testing server was Chaos Set. New Gunner armors were good with their pros and cons, but those UV's helped me figure out which play method I preferred.

I still think the UV's could be rehauled. It would be the biggest crown sink if people weren't afraid to use it. The odds of getting that ASI CTR VHs or even just meds accosted me millions more than my entire play history of even a P2P player, let alone your average F2P. Or how about the often dissapointing damage bonuses or defense bonuses. It's really about broadening your armor choices. Because when your weapons have UV's that max them out, why wear Chaos Set at all?

The best solution is to make the other armor sets more appealing, not to rely on UVs to "fix" them.

Broken gear is still broken when you use another broken system to make it comparable.. because actually good gear with the same UVs will still outshine it.

Also, you probably wouldn't use Chaos. You'd use Shadowsun or Skolver or Merc. Demo with a BKC, for damage and/or MSI, since that's all you'd be missing. Then penta-heart trinkets, because there's nothing left to boost.

UVs are neccessary test part. Example: It's important to check how animations are working on ASI Max or how it is balanced. Instead of deleting this, they should make it simpler - allow us to choose UV we want instantly, so it will allow us to save much time.

Strongly disagree. I like to see how a weapon will perform at its best.
I did my testing without the UVs, then I started rolling to see which loadout I would actually use.
Paintool puts it very eloquently when he says that some loadouts need UVs to be viable.

If there are people wasting time rolling that's on them, but not everyone should be punished for that.

Again, if bad equips need UVs to be viable, what does that make already-good equips?

If OOO (the developers) remove(s) Punch, then they can't add anymore features to Punch. Ever.

Why? Because Punch has been removed from the test server and they can't test anything nor add anything to Punch.

I think you are severely underestimating the power of programming.

"I think you are severely underestimating the power of programming."

Okay, forget about the, "nor add anything to Punch" part.
