In Spiral Knights there is a heating system that require ghastly large amounts of rarities known as Fire Crystals They spawn mainly in treasure boxes but you may buy a package of 50 of them from Kozma. I DO NOT ENJOY THIS FEATURE. At item levels of 5 and 7 you will require more of the crystals starting at level one for 4-5* items you will need 9 of Radiant fire crystals for 5* items and 9 of the shining fire crystals for 4* items. When an item reaches level 4 and has a full heat bar you will require 30 for 4* items and 50 for 5* items. And at level 7 and higher you will require 60-80 Radiant Fire crystals to even "possibly" Get a another level of heat. I remember when heating was simple when I could just do a FSC run and my heat bars would and I quote "Immediately level my gear as I go along!" Heating used to be free... What happened to it? Why does it have to be so complicated now? Is having something easy and practically free so bad?

Tell me your opinions in the Comments and Please Game Moderaters and Staff consider bringing the "Old Ways" back for that is all I ask is to heat or not to heat that is not a fun question to expound upon. Good Day.

This has been discussed before

The new heating system was put in place to balance out free elevators. We used to pay to play and heat for free, now we are free to play but pay to heat.

Heat.

You could try:

unequipping your Battle Sprite
equip a lv. 10 (fully heated) item.

Don't feel so bad, the game is free to play and as of today, it still is.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

I second what Fangel says. It's either this or paid elevators, which was probably more annoying. Now heating 5* items beyond level 5 is a premium, not a requirement. I suggest you just heat your 5* stuff to level 5 and continue to the next item.

Level 10 4* Weapon will almost always do more damage than Level 5 5* Weapon.

I think that level 7 5* item deals pretty much the same amount of damage as the level 10 4* item.

It is a very clever way of actually making this game a true Free to play .

But, I do agree, most of the things that were so much easier todo now Requires ghastly amounts of resources, which-
