i been playing SK from the time when there was only a jelly king & a final boss. all this while, i dont remember having any problems with the saving of my application preferences (eg customizing of keys). Recently, i had to do a system recovery for my pc. ever since then, i realize that i need to reset my preferences, every single time i log in. i am unsure why my computer is not storing the application preferences (as it has always done). a helpful knight suggested using window registry. however, clearly, there must be another way for me to resolve this ? thank you for the help, & advice.

i went over the link u suggested, and noted that it also involves making some changes thru windows registry.
i noticed that whenever i make any changes (eg reducing volume to zero, customizing the keys, unticking certain boxes), and i click ÖK, everything seems ok. however i realized, whenever i click OPTIONS, all the changes are undone, and i go back to default setting.
So it seems that - clicking the OPTIONS key seem to reset my application preferences to default setting.
does anyone have a similar problem ? is there a bug in my game ? should i reinstalled it ? thanks.

hi again. I run spiral knights on 2 computers. it seems that on one computer, it saves my application preferences - hence, when I log off, and re-log back on, my account name stays there, and I just enter my password, and all my previous application preferences will be saved (e.g. customize keys). however, on the other computer, whenever I log off, it does not seem to save my last application preference. so whenever I log back on, I need to re-log in my account name AND password - and my application preferences all go back to default setting. anyone has any idea ? or is window registry the only way I can resolve this ? thanks.

If you launch Spiral Knights from a desktop or Start Menu shortcut could you please try launching the game as an Administrator and then setting your key preferences? This may force the settings to save so that you don't have to keep changing them.
To run Spiral Knights as an administrator please right-click the link and choose the "Run as administrator" option.
