My Opinion On Making Spiral Knights A Better Game

I would like to say that new monsters and new weapons won't increase the overall reputation of Spiral Knights. What will? This is what I think:

- More random "rooms" added to the Clockworks. I often find myself doing the same puzzles over and over again. Maybe even randomize boss-themed dungeons to an extent!

- Weapon and Armor balancing. Chaos armor is better than Mad Bomber right off the bat. Some weapons are utterly useless. Take STRONG heed to player suggestions regarding equipment.

- Endgame. I realize you guys are working on it. The sooner it releases the better!

- The intro. Why start in a battlefield? At least let players crash land in the rescue camp right away. Fighting is saved for later.

- Lockdown super powering. Allow strikers to dash forever, unless being stricken by the enemy, guardians have a longer and much faster-recharging shield, unless stricken by the enemy, and recons infinite cloak granted, unless they are stricken by the enemy, lowering cloak use... To recharge your shields for all three classes, you must not initiate the shield, and wait for the shield to recharge. Recharging takes just a snap, and behold, all of your shield has recovered. This will make Lockdown much more intense, and overpower all three classes, creating a much more edging experience.

- Bomb and Sword update. Gunners will be overpowered. Pray the gun update will bring balance to all handguns.

1. (Random Rooms) I agree having more Randomized stuff keeps the game fresh, people have suggested this through player made level editors or just suggesting various rooms and miniboss ideas

2. (Weapon/Armour Balance) Games benefit from some imbalance, having people wear say Chaos causes people in lockdown to respond with more status focused weapons, this causes people to wear more resistant sets like volcanic, this creates a constant imbalance loop that actually creates a balance. Chaos has that curse weakness, which you may argue is pointless in 90% of situations but that doesn't change that curse still exists and wearing sets like that offers a risk reward like the swiftstrike buckler. I do not know what you mean by utterly useless weapons unless your referring to things like the cautery sword.

3. (endgame) Shadow Lairs, Guildhalls, Accessories, Danger missions, Lockdown and Collecting everything is pretty much the endgame right now

4. (Intro) no idea what your talking about here, the crash course is literally a crash course on the basic mechanics, its not really a battlefield. the ironwood sentinel fight is pretty much there to give you a taste of how badass you may one day become with the awesome armour and how you defeat it

5. (Lockdown) im not an expert at lockdown, I played it a few times but I ultimately prefer Blast network.

6. (Update) Gunners will be overpowered? whut. Classes are non existant, people take what they enjoy using or feel does the most damage for that area or whatever they have the best UVs on for lockdown which is another case altogether. I never hear a bomber say "I hate bombing but I have to do it because I feel it outputs the most damage" they will use a bomb because they may enjoy inflicting status effects of because they enjoy dividing the field or because they enjoy CREATING A HUGE AMOUNT OF SCREEN SHAKE AND RUINING EVERYTHING... sorry that's another story, but yeah ultimately you take what you need when you need it
