...No I'm not going to talk about raising difficulty and whatsoever because that's been done countless times.

(I don't know if anyone has bothered with this before, so hate me if it has)
THUS! I shall move this conversation to another thing that has been bothering me for a bit.

Drops.

You know. Vials. Pills. The new barrier thingies which are not really useful except for breaking blocks while carrying like, statues or water balls in FSC or something. Or even the embers in Candlestick Keep. And more rarely, the mecha knight kits, artillery strikes and recon flares that... don't really do much, honestly. (OOO, you STILL have not added ultra (T3) poison barriers AND the auto turret kit thing to the droplist)

So, what exactly ticks me off here?

The ridiculously high drop rate.

Seriously, I would love to reduce the droprates of these things on elite- it is supposed to be hard, therefore, all the more less reason to make an entire arena drop full of such things. The worst part is when I'm in trouble and use my pills, then once I use it all up, I have to constantly throw useless status vials and consume useless barriers just to pick up that one pill or remedy (which are really the only useful things, honestly). If it was supposed to be hard, I can honestly make do without using those "in a pinch" and simply relying on my gear to get me through.
(Unless you tell me that the drop rate was this high JUST to mess with picking up of more vital items like hp pills, in which case I'm... speechless. .-.>

The other thing is, pardon me for being stingy and all, treasure boxes. I do not know how to feel every time I play on elite and watch 5/6 boxes drop useless vials which just hog up my item belt or can't even fit at all into it. Okay, so maybe this will boost the droprate of crowns and heat, but all things considered I might feel a little more comfortable with extra heat while having fully heated items just waiting for radiant fire crystals so I can actually level them up. (Therefore, making the heat useless anyway)

I don't know about you guys; do you think drop rates should be this high? Or is it just an illusion? Personally, I'd also suggest increasing the item belt size for lower difficulties to accommodate more of those status or whatsoever pickups, but figures that wouldn't be something.

Well...

I think you meant 5/16 instead of 5/6 for green boxes and 0% chance from red.

From the end of boxes of my FSC runs I'm not in the least amused. But okay, maybe 5/6 odds is a bit extreme.

Yes, I know red boxes have 0% chance of dropping pickups. But how many red boxes are there?

Also, Gauntlet. If you do it on elite, you should know the boxes at the end are an utter joke. Of the what, 16 boxes on elite, how many are red boxes? And of the green boxes, how many of them don't drop pickups? Maybe RNG is just being a Black Kat and cursing me, but eh...

The number of red boxes depends partially on the number of green boxes. They can replace the green ones.

The whole difficulty system needs serious tweaking to be honest. Elite isn't much more difficult and it doesn't feel like it pays out very much more. Normal is just incredibly easy and pays out quite a bit.

I would like this too.

Reducing the droprate of consumables on elite difficulty would, in fact, make elite a tad bit harder. I often find myself in an arena with 3 health capsules on me and another 4 laying around, waiting to be picked up. At the same time, this would increase elite payouts the little bit more it should have.

On the same note, increase consumable drops on normal mode. Players should have a cushion to fall back on in that difficulty, and consumables play that role.
