Hi my fellow Knights, I'm stuck on the 5* Hall of Heroes mission with nothing but a 5* Warmaster Rocket Hammer, 5* Dark Reprisal and 4* Cobalt Helm and Armor along with the 4* Defender so i really wanted to find out the cheapest but effective 5* Loadout i can buy/alchemize so i can get past this damned mission and finish the main storyline.

If you want cheap, but

If you want cheap, but generally bad armor, just get the azure set. The recipes are given to you, so you don't have to shell out about 75k for armor and a shield recipe.

You want cheap, effective and don't mind looking like a clone? Go for Vog or Skolver, which can be obtained by getting Wolver, then Dusker, then Ash Tail. The most Newbie friendly armor in the game, and it's pretty easy to get since you don't have to search for recipes for basil instead, check the hall of heroes and talk to the striker, he has a Swiftstrike buckler and a cutter line sword.

Heck, i still use my Vog Cub set.

I don't know why I like Grey Feather, I just do.

TL;DR (even though it's not that long...) : Get Seerus Mask, pair it with a Hall of Heroes armor

Vog Cub or Grey Feather.

Cobalt/Azure Guardian is technically the cheapest armor since you get the recipes for free, but to be honest it's the worst armor set in the game, with Aegis honestly being one of the worst shields in the game.

Vog Cub and Grey Feather both give very good defenses (normal + elemental, alongside max fire resistance), with the main difference being that Vog Cub gives sword attack speed increase, and Grey Feather gives shock resistance. They're also both very easily accessible-- as both are inside of the Hall of Heroes.

Since you say you have the Warmaster Rocket Hammer and Dark Retribution, then I'd say get Perfect Mask of Seerus. It's easy to alchemise as all you need to do is beat the mission three times then straight-up make it rather than needing to heat a 3* and/or 4* variant, and the Seerus Mask is a great defensive helmet. It just so happens to give amazing gun bonuses as well. From that point, Vog Cub basically covers all fire needs, whereas Grey Feather synergises well with Seerus Mask, making it so you won't need another fire/shock set any time soon, so when you start working on other armors, you can mostly ignore getting sets completely based on those two statuses.

What about the Black Kat Cowl? It's technically free if you're lucky enough.

You can use some of the ancient plate items as well if you can finish FSC runs (get invited or clockworks or whatever)

agree

I agree with the other posters. Dibsville had a good idea with Perfect Mask of Seerus. It would be a great helmet if you ever used any guns.

Azure Guardian/Aegis are cheapest, because they save you the cost of recipes. But recipe cost is a small fraction of the overall cost of making a 5-star item. For example, a 5-star recipe costs 25,000 crowns, but the three 5-star orbs you need cost 800 energy, which costs 52,000 crowns (at current prices). And then there's the crafting fee, and perhaps additional cost for materials. So you're saving maybe 25%-30% of the crafting cost, by choosing that terrible armor. Don't do it. (And this calculation doesn't even include the cost of heating, which can be far larger than crafting. Don't heat any 5-star item, unless you really, really like that item.)

Instead, just get a good armor and shield. Popular armors are those offering offensive bonuses: Wolver, Gunslinger, Demo, and Chaos if you're bold. Popular shields offer offensive bonuses or strong defense: Barbarous Thorn Shield, Swiftstrike Buckler (only 3-star though), Grey Owlite, Crest of Almire, Volcanic Plate, etc.

Don't worry about looking like a clone. You can always wear a costume.

^Or you can just assume that you'll find >3 orbs whenever you go to heat any single 5* item and that crappy armor doesn't need heating because it'll always be crappy and just for show, which is generally exactly what happens.
