Is any gun+VT is a good combo against fiends?

I made a combo of Antigua+VT against wolvers on T2 and apparently worked well. The wolvers dodged less with shock.
But I made a run on a T3 fiend prestige mission and I made the combo of Valiance+VT and doesn't worked well. But I was a bit tired on that day, maybe lazy, and played badly. So, I want to know if this combo can be good or not.

The idea of the combo is reduce the chance of dodging, to hit with more facility.

EDIT: Grammar fix

VT is great against fiends

Voltaic Tempest is highly effective against fiends. With that and just about anything else, you should be able to beat all of them except maybe greavers.

If you're worried about dodging, then the classic answer is Callahan. Its bullets are really fast. But to be honest you should wait for the supposedly impending gunner update, before planning any big gun acquisitions.

Alternatively you could just use Dark Briar Barrage. Or you could use VT with Final Flourish/BTB.

If you don't use Auto-Target, IIRC, you control the direction that Devilites dodge via aiming in that direction. All it takes, is to figure out how much lead (left or right) that you have to give. Usually lead 1-2 blocks for most guns. Or you could get a Magnus.

Yes. Nova/magma driver in particular.

Thanks for replies

@Bopp
Right now, I'm trying to play with what I have. But thanks for advice.

@Qwez
I have a Magnus. I just don't have a Mega Magnus. About the aiming, I noticed that if I shot on certain directions, I can do some hits on devilites while they are dodging.

@Fehzor.
Great! I have a Prisma Driver. At least, I don't need to craft anything to be effective against devilities.

+1 to Bopp's Callahan idea.

There are two things that Callahan is good for: locking down fiends and locking down Lockdown players. For all the hate Callahan gets, it's actually a really useful gun in terms of fiend areas, with the only problem it has being vs Greavers. Gorgos can be sniped, Devilites can be stunned before they can even finish attack (with a good enough connection that is), Trojans eat a clip daily, etc etc.

However, all the reasons that make it good is because the only other piercing guns are slow-to-fire, miss the target a lot, or are just less safe to use than Callahan against enemies that can get stunned, among other things. With the impending gunner update, and a few mechanics being changed, it's probably best to hold off on it.

But all that is without VT. If you're throwing VT into the mix, then as said earlier, Nova/Magma quickly tears through fiends.

Trats-Romra, maybe you should keep trying your Magnus then.

@Bopp
Yeah, maybe I should. I found it fun to use, mainly because of the stun lock.

@Dibsville
Thanks for the information.
I already came up with a Magnus to a T2 Dark City but it just doesn't worked so well. Since then, I started to think that Magnus wasn't good against fiends. But maybe it's just about practice. I'll give it a try.

Of course, the looming gunner update might change things now that I think of it. +1 to the magnus idea, though we'll see how that plays out.

I've just finished Whipping and Mishandling...

And it was too much fun! Stun-lock fiends and hit gorgos was amazing!
My next 4* gun will be a Mega Magnus, for sure.
