We need more poison weapons, so I was thinking instead of creating brand new weapons, you could just reskin and recolor the 5 star items of the caliber and driver and change the status effect to poison.
Poison Calibur and Driver Line
"We need more poison weapons"

Poison is the only status in the game that has all four damage types weapon-wise. Additionally, most of the poison weapons are fast and/or spread well.
If you could actually explain why Three Rings should take the time to add more instead of just saying "we need more", then that'd be a big help.
Specifically?
as Fangel said, we have it covering the whole damage Spectrum
i wouldn't object to a Heavy Poison Blade though, DVS is a little to gimmicky for me and the Obsidian weapons are event specific
"instead of creating brand new weapons, you could just reskin and recolor"
Oh don't you worry one bit about inspiring them to do anything of the sort, they've got this.
OOO should just go ahead and make a 5* poison spur, everybody wins!

A few years ago, players have suggested a poison brandish. Most of them have disagreed on that idea. About one-two years later, they added a poison brandish. However, reskinned weapons aren't really necessary for now.
A Poison Brandish isn't necessary, but if it does happen then I'd see to it that the alchemy line gets the Obsidian Edge upgrade shifted from the Nightblade's to it. A sword that's compatible with a variety of different mod upgrades would make more sense getting it than a refined blade with a more singular function.
Come to think of it, the Nightblade should be its own weapon line and set apart from the Brandish entirely. I should discuss that in a different thread, however.

We don't really "need" more of those, but could definitely use them. Since we have Toxic Vaporizer/Venom Veiler in the first place, I would welcome a Poison Brandish and Alchemer/Driver to go with it.
@Fangel: As a quick reference, we only have two sword styles that inflict stun, and two swords styles that inflict freeze. This isn't anything too big.
A Stun-inducing Brandish would be pretty swell. Or at least one that's more neutral-looking and not named Cautery anyway. I'd go about to make it bright-colored and use light to distabilize the enemy.
3*: Lightburst Brandish
4*: Beambrand
5*: Photonizer
The color theme and nature of the weapon would be a perfect fit for Divine-themed sets as well.
But Stun is an incredibly powerful status; as a friend said, "Why do you think all the weapons besides Stagger Storm, a PvP recipe, are horrible?" (example: Callahan vs. Blitz Needle)
To add on what's already been said, Alchemers are already too good as it is. No more Alchemer lines!
We already have a Poison Brandish: OE.
"A Stun-inducing Brandish would be pretty swell."
Not in Lockdown. That would actually be a sword that surpasses Acheron; the last thing on Cradle we need is a sword that's even stronger than Nightblade. Pretty soon I'll hear a suggestion for a Curse Brandish. Oh dear...
To craft a nightblade you need a brandish. You need a Silent Night Blade to make the obsidian edge. Obsidian edge deals poison, there is your poison brandish
"Pretty soon I'll hear a suggestion for a Curse Brandish. Oh dear..."
Not that it matters, but a Stun Brandish would just make a Curse Brandish look like a child's toy.
We have:
Poison swords: Cutter, brandish
Poison guns: antigua, catalyzer, autogun
Poison bombs: haze bomb, vortex
As a quick reference, we only have two sword styles that inflict stun, and two swords styles that inflict freeze. This isn't anything too big.
The only issue is that three of the seven poison-inflicting weapons are tied to an event, so they are harder to obtain.
