clearly SK can handle more than 4 knights at once so why not bring in an SK version of raids, large group(scaled down) dungeons, 5-8 man level sets

in other MMOs large group encounters and raids make up the bulk of endgame stuff and they are pretty good fun

So even though it would be a big undertaking making a few big group level sets (3-4 depths each, like boss levels, possibly playable in multiple tiers) would add some great group/endgame content (unlock access at certain rank?)

i dont think that current levels would work terribly well for group sizes much lager than 4, maybe 5, so they would have to be new levels designed specifically for large groups, with a minimum of 5 knights required to play (go solo being disabled and kick throws back to haven) and multi knight puzzles, hit these multiple separated switches within 3 seconds to open the door is enough (but more complex puzzles would be super)

since there will eventually be an arcade redux perhaps large group dives can added as part of the arcade, a 5th gate as it were - they could also work as prestige missions but then they become once a day kind of affairs

the enemies would need to be reasonably varied as well, dont want every knight bringing the same gear every time, still have a theme and primary family but have most monster families appear so that while some knights can take on beasts others can defend against gremlins and yet others bust up some constructs, hopefully a good variety of weapons will be present

aside from being hopefully challenging and good fun with a small mob of knights if incentives are required perhaps the payout from such large levels could be higher and/or unique tokens dropped upon completion, surely there is new equipment being dreamed up that could be token based
(alternatively the could drop krogmo coins, it isnt pvp but it is group content...?)

Cool Concept Comrade!

Boss Raids is a pretty cool idea, you can actually apply this to pretty much any mission and scale up the enemies health and damage

This would be nice "missions 10-X" content to provide more of an endgame, it would be cool to see
you can add a new form of token, maybe like a Raid Coin that would allow you to trade you raid coins for reskin costumes and weapons or allow you to trade for unique materials or recipes for the original boss tokens in case a particular recipe is just never there for you and you don't fancy bringing out 100k cr for it

i always thought the problem with OCH was that it never felt like the 'epic' assault until you got to the seerus fight, having a 12 man raid on the grand arsenal would feel more realistic than a 4 man group just waltzing in and wrecking everyone inside

only problems i foresee here are intense quantities of Lag and major EXPLOSIONS, imagine like 9 nitronomes going off with Polaris spam and then everyones game crashes because of that many particle effects going off at the same time, maybe have mission specific loadouts for the group to decide so they can prevent the insane screen nukes? like a Striker loadout would have a Acheron and a Leviathan, a bomber loadout comes with Graviton bomb and Venom Veiler, a gunner loadout would have the Umbra driver and a Valiance, a guardian loadout would have Suduraska and a Callahan, and so on and so forth

either way, +3 for raids, -1 for Screen nukes

If they were to do raids, they'd have to design content very specifically for them.

When you get a large enough party, someone is going to be on the phone, someone is going to be arguing with their dad, someone is going to be afk, and someone is going to just be awful at the game. This scenario would have to be accounted for, as would the lag mentioned above. If anything, a cooperative minigame would be best.

how does lockdown run for

how does lockdown run for you? thats 12 knights running around being jerks to one another, im suggesting only 8 (for now, 12 would be better) + npcs. assuming there's not another IMF particle overload i think most people would be able to handle it, trollaris spam or not, or perhaps im simply over estimating peoples hardware a bit (i can guarantee that i would have trouble simply because of poor internet connection but it would still be nifty)

and yeah, while most raids feature awesome bosses i think SK could get away without if necessary, so long as the levels are designed for a full raid team and particularly challenging (in a smart way not just 'lol fight a hundred angry devil-ITs at once')

combat scenario

*eight legendary forumers try to raid a high level dungeon*

Fehzor: "Alright guys, let strategize... Glacie, red-galaxy, the two of you are going to brandish charge when you go in, me and Zeddy are gonna follow up with a spam of shivermist to slow them down, and we will hav about eight second to spam them down with polaris. NJ, give me a quick run over our survivalbility."

NJthug: "We roughly have about 69.69% chance of beat this... 69<3"

Fehzor: "Okay, that is good, Glacie, be sure to activate frenzy fire barrier when you go in and give us that extra fire power and Fangel be sure to get the seraphic aura going once we are in, everyone topped up on SoL? We are gonna die alot... and Fangel, what is the level of that seraphnyx?"

Fangel: "It is 69..."

Midnight: "ALRIGHT LET'S DO THIS, MIIIIIIIDNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT-DJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" *enters the dungeon*

Fehzor: "Wait! Damn it Midnight! We are gonna get rekt without your fiend VH polaris!"

Midnight: "Atleast I have chicken..."

*don't add raid if you don't want this to happen to your party* +0.5

Idk how this would work with

Idk how this would work with a hack and slash game like SK. Wouldn't brandish charges still win all scenarios?

Raids are awesome in MMORPGs with skill trees, classes, and all that nice stuff. But, the only skills we have are the pet abilities.

brandish op

@Soulstaker virtually every current scenario is winnable with brandish charges - it's pretty well known the brandish line is OP
obviously traditional roles, tank, healer, dps, dont work for sk but if the rooms are designed well they should force at least basic cooperation (half defeat the main waves while the other half run around the outside hitting switches and killing re spawns, smart use of shivermist and polaris spam - exactly how group play currently works but on a larger scale)

Hey, that's only mostly true!

Both my seraphynxes are level 100!

But getting on topic here, I would love large party raids, especially if we were raiding various other gremlin facilities.

I'm pretty sure the way to counter brandish spam is to have enough bullets/rockets flying towards us that we need guns to counter. Either that or a fair amount of grievers and devilites.
Also, for this game only, I think sparks of life should be disabled and health revives brought back and modified so that you can only revive someone if you have 50% health or more.

@Midnight

Save for the fact that Njthug avoids me like the plague (and has made it very clear what she thinks of me) and Fangel+you don't seem so inclined to be friendly towards me either.
