Ahem...

Booty Boxes! - A more than likely already thought of / discussed promo idea.
Considering OOO have a pirate themed game under their belt, I figure why not create some pirate-y lark for spiral knights?

The box aesthetic - A treasure chest (of course).

The Contents!
5% chance for one of the following:
Plunder Aura - A reskin of the Sprinkle Aura but with doubloons and rare gems.
Prismatic Captain's Hat - Much like the Stranger Hats, the Captain's Hat comes in all the usual colour schemes but of course the prismatic version should be rarer! The model was based from a demo helm since the large band of colour on the top of the helms could easily be a bandana that pirates often wear under their hats.

25% chance for one of the following:
The O'Malley - A reskin of the Iron Slug with a cannonball projectile.
Rum-Bunctious - A reskin of a Big Angry Bomb that is a keg of rum and the explosion sound effect could be tweaked to sound more like a "Yarrgh!".
Cut-More (not less.. lass.. sigh, I know I'm reaching with that one) - A reskin of either a Levi or a Triglav that is y'know, more piratey. SK crown icon used on the hilt.

65% chance for one of the following:
The usual selection of colour schemed Captain's Hat. - (See Prismatic link for sample colours).

100% chance for one of the following:
Plunder Confetti - Same concept as the aura but thrown into the air!

Disclaimer: I know my drawings are terribad but they were done super quick for the purpose of showing an idea so don't 'urt me!

Make this happen, and for god-sake please stop with these horrible less then 1% drop rates like honestly give us 2 to 5% at least!

I'm liking everything about this thread. The pirate suggestion is wonderful because pirates are wonderful.

I even agree with Njthug. The .000001% thing is kind of ridiculous, and it makes each of those items worth way more than any virtual cosmetic doodad has any right to be, regardless of how whizbang it may be.

I'd rather the split be something like:

5% = Aura
5% = Prismatic captain
25% = Weapon of some sort
65% = Reskinned captain hat

That would be the greatest. Actually attainable rare items.

Wasn't expecting positive comments! I thought there'd be a hatetrain for promo ideas :O.

@Flame-Shinobi & Miss-Matryoshka- I have now updated the original topic with images for the missing ones. Again, they're super rough!
@Njthug & Fehzor - I agree! If the percentages were higher then they'd get people buying the boxes more as they'd feel like they actually have a chance at the rare items. Win for everyone!

I can has parrot snipe on me shoulder? (Would this be armor back, like the Personnel Spikes, or what? A new slot please!). Or just a costume armor (with the parrot-snipe built in), with peg legs. And peg arms. Like that family guy character.

Make sure the parrot-snipe isn't on the same shoulder as the Almirian Spikes, mean players would put the poor thing on there on purpose (if it is an accessory).

Parrot snipe could occasionally make a unique noise - like a gobblesnipe, but more guttural.

Also helmet front acc:

Eye Patch (all standard and special styles, the shadow would be the classic black everyone wants)
Ultimate Pirate Combo: pipe, eye patch, stache.
The anti-pirate royalty: Monocle.

Love your snipe symbol on those hats.

I love the idea!

But I think the weapon for a sword should be the cutter...with elemental or shadow damage...and some increased damage...maybe a little more knockback...and some more hit stun.......

Anything to make a cutter usable D:

-1 Sleepychu; Promotional items shouldn't offer any benefits over the originals besides cosmetics. Either buff the original item, or keep the reskin on par with the original.

+1 to the overall idea. Ay, pirates would be an all too fun reference for Puzzle Pirates, plus we can settle the age-long debate; Pirates, or Ninjas?
