Aside from random rock jellies and that one slush puppy there are no monsters in LD.

I suggest creating a map based on Aurora isles in which there are two Gold Trojans (i.e. invincible) these Trojans would only attack one team. One would go after team 1, the other team 2.

Provide an extremely wide spawn exit and healing pads around the field. If a person is on a healing pad they can be targeted by both of the Trojans and they become their priority. If more than 2 teammates are on a cap they too can be targeted.

Unlike other monsters gold Trojans would quickly break up spawncamping trips and force players to worry about something they can't kill.

Why not create a Candlestick keep LD map where a lone Grimalkin wanders around.

Put candles and embers here and there and put healing pads in the dark.

Other monsters such as Deadnaughts, gorgos, wolver packs, and lichen colonies can roam the map.
Put mini spawners, rocket puppies, and various polyps on the edges.
You could even make a room filled with all the (gold) wisp types, or a random battlepod.

Move over, there's bubble-wrap to be popped!

I once thought of a swarm map, where there would be swarm turrets that defend captured control points from other teams. (If the control point was red, they would fire at blue. If the control point was blue, they would fire at red. If the control point was neutrual, they would fire at both) There would however only be a few bullets so that they can not kill on their own

Wooo

Glad someone decided to make this a thread. ;)

As for the idea of enemies attacking the team that is losing, that's just insult to injury. Actually, it's just more injury on top of injury. I'd think enemies either attack all players, or the winning team.

Having a grimalkin would be a great addition to a map! players would likely stop to run when they see it coming, and maybe even not fight that enemy holding fire because there is a candle behind them they need lit. Having one point be lit up by a blue candle and the other two with unlit, temporary candles would create an interesting hazard.

Wisps and shankles are something I didn't even think about, but would be a great hazard! Have an ironclaw munitions factory-themed level with wisps and shankles, and try to lure or push the drones into enemy territory, or use them to defend your points!

I'd love it if capturing a point spawned enemies to defend it that reflect your team color via status. (Poison = green, normal/stun = yellow, freeze = blue) So players could be "defending" points by capturing them. Perhaps have these monsters on a respawn pad so intruders have a bit of a hard time.

You have a point Fangel,

You have a point Fangel, instead of having all the enemies attack everyone (they could be lured to be a spawncamp assist), or attack just one team (imagine a tide of monsters suddenly turn on you the moment your team gets 1 point ahead) you could make it so that team specified monsters deal more damage to the winning team and less to the losing team.

At even score both Trojans are T2

When the score is different the Trojan attacking the winning team is T3 and the one attacking the losing team is T1.

(a similar theme could be set for other monsters too)

@ Unholy-dream

We could make the throwables (rockets, water, fire) for the losing team more powerful, and at certain point they would create one hit kills, but only if the losing team has no control points and is 375 points behind.
