Think about it... you're lunging yourself at them, full force, with your shield raised high. Sure, it won't stun them, but it'll definitely help to even off the playing field a bit.

I find the barrier annoying with to begin with, and even in a full party of four people, if someone doesn't aggro against the barrier (or can't currently), then all the Gremlins have to do is just wait for their health to regenerate and heal everything else (or worse, spawn a healing rune directly over them), leading to more problems.

Of course, for this case, the Tortodrone shields will be able to break the barrier, as well as land an additional hit from the shield bash, since it does "double shield bash damage."

Eah...

I see what you're getting at but I think it is unnecessary. Honestly, especially with several days of the apocrean event past us by now, you should have a poison weapon to use when confronting gremlins.

Poison is the best thing ever when menders are around.

Thankfully, I do now, as I recently acquired the Obsidian Edge. I do have Biohazard as well, just landing the shots without the Menders evading every time is a bit rough and trivial, so I usually only use it if I'm able to corner them successfully.

This was mostly targeted in places where you have the menders mixed in with poisonous enemies, as that's when it becomes a chore to try and dispatch all of them with some decency ('cause you can't poison the poisonous), if the mender is spamming runes or in their glorious bubble barrier.

Barrier breaking would be an incredibly useful skill to have, but at the same time its one of the few ways OOO makes the game difficult in the endgame. I could see it being given to weaker gear to buff up the damage... if the iron slug's normal shots could break such barriers, I'd be certain to bring it along for that. The same goes for big angry bomb/irontech and even sudaruska.

Give the bubble a weakness to

Give the bubble a weakness to shadow.
Possibly give Antigua the ability to inflict damage inside the bubble on the charge finisher shot. And any other penetrating weapon (_inter _rave)
Possibly let Catalyzer tag the bubble.
