A Minor and A Major suggestion

Before I begin, did you get the pun? Am and A? Chords? This is my first suggestion for Spiral Knights, so, yay... I guess. Ok, so the point of the thread is to send my suggestion (Duh, if you didn't already know!). My suggestions are split into two catagories; minor suggestions (Which doesn't effect the game as much as a major suggestion and won't screw up the game if it doesn't work out) and major suggestions (Which affect the game largely and will probably make the game unbalanced if it backfires)

Minor Suggestions

-Make bomb blasts "transparent" :
This is just to avoid other players to blinded by a whole lot of bombs others place. (Blue screen of death anyone? How about a brown screen of demise? Nah, that makes no sense) My idea is to make the blasts semi-transparent, like a colored glass. (There will be an option to turn how transparent the bomb blast are (Idea by Fangel*))

-Show pictures at Recon module, warning sign, echo stone, etc.
Exactly what title says, it's just for the player to get the feeeeeels

-Radar change
While we usually we have red dots for enemy, my idea is to change the red dot to a red coloured family Logo. This way, the player can guess which enemy will appear. (Some levels contain more than 1 family type)
Major Suggestions

-Moonstone and valestone
I noticed that these mineral became almost** useless ever since we couldn't change the gates by depositing minerals, (I have 100 of them each) so either delete them entirely, bring back the freeze and poison apocalypse and allow us to change gates with minerals, make two more battle sprites that are feed with food made from the minerals, or we could make required to access a special level. ( idea by Fangel***)

-Animated sword when outside combat
Just to make things merrier , make glowing swords glow flashes( GF , DA , Combuster , Acheron , Glacius ). Make a fire circling FoV
and dark energy surrounding obsidian weapons. Make cutter line and calibur shine radiantly from time to time , and i cant tell every weapons animation gonna be ( even some is alerdy animated . Guns and Bomb get simmiliar animation too ). Of course animation will trigger if you are 3 seccond outside of combat , just for gameplay stake ( we don't want to create a 100 color screen of death ).

-A vendor of event
Basically add a vendor that trade event tokens , even maybe re-cash token items for half the price. This vendor should also provide info about each event in SK ( related with tokens ). He would also able to change tokens to crowns ( for a really low price to prevent using this as a method for gaining money , example :
Aprocean sigil = 10 crowns per token
Cake slices = 50 crowns per token )

Major Suggestion

-Shield bashing
I noticed that in order to perform a shield bash, you need full shield health, while it only consumes 50% of your shield health. So my idea is to be able to perform a shield bash while you still have 50% to 100% of your shield health remaining.
Examples
You have 85% shield, perform a sheild bash your shield goes down to 35% health.
You have 50% shield, perform a sheild bash your shield breaks.

-Chase missions
This would be a new mission type where you must escape from an enemy that is chasing you throughout the level. Example: An unkillable Ironwood Sentinel which can shoot missles and fire laser like the RT can as it chases you. When he is about to attack with a laser, there would be a warning message along with particle effects where it is going to strike. You need to reach the safe zone (Where the elevator is) to win the level, but there will be traps along your way too. (Grids, brambles, rockets, switches) If you die, you will automatically be revived in the very front of the enemy who is chasing you, either with auto revive or SoL. In the safe zone, there will be a lot of treasure boxes and minerals.

-Dash and leap
There will be a bar now that shows your stamina , when it reaches 50 % - 75 % - 100% you can dash. 50 - 74 is the normal dash , and reaching 50 % will require 5 seccond. 75% - 99% allows you to dash further , reaching 75 will require 7 seccond. 100% stamina and you will perform a leap ( Jumps over the first enemy you bumped into , and become invisible while you leap ) , reaching 100% will require 10 seccond.

*The option to change transparancy is by Fangel

**Most people are not aware of this, but sometimes in Prestige, a mission appears that requires minerals to complete

***The idea for special levels unlocked by the minerals is by Fangel

Thanks to the wolver ( Pipipipi ) that knows everything ( about english ) , we have good grammars now.

This list may expand, change, or get smaller depending on what people say about it

What. All you have to do is open the settings (default key is "Esc") and slide down the bars. Why go through all those steps.

"- (4 star) Fire crystal and alchemy orb lift up"

... You do realize that 4* gear is Tier 3 right?
Not only that, but you can find Elite Orbs of Alchemy as early on as Depth 14, which is Tier 2.

"- Weapon Mastery"

Weapons are already powerful enough already.

-Fire crystal and orbs : yes i realize its a 3 star gear , however you need a full 4 star set to go to tier 3. And where is depth 14 again ? never payed attention to the depth and stuff

- Weapon mastery : As i said , it just passed by my mind. I have though that it might be OP ..... ( Deleting this suggestion )

Tier 1: Depth 1 -7
Tier 2: Depth 8 - 17
Tier 3: Depth 18 - 28

What Dibsville said. If you press [default key is (ESC)] in the SK client, it'll open up the settings for SK. You could just slide the bars left in the volume section. That will not affect anything else except for SK.

For the mute button... I mean like , Left-clicking SK button ( or maybe checkbox in internet version ) and start the game with no sound of the game, Not open it and mute it.

@OP

Lol, I don't recall people giving the option to start a game muted/or have it off by default? It's like so much more effort for a team of people to program a function for the sake of 1 person's pleasure, than vice versa.

Turning the volume slider in-game down will ensure that subsequent launches of your game will remain silent. It's just this one time!
Regardless, if you are lazy, there's an easier alternative that is to turn your SK volume slider down in your volume mixer, and it'll usually stay down.

You can mute things in game

As others have said, simply use the in-game adjustments to turn the various volume levels down, or off. Turn all of them off if you want to, or if you still want to hear the slashing just mute your music.

Transparent bomb blasts sound nice, but honestly, we should have a "visuals intensity" option for all graphics levels. This could turn down the intensities of graphical effects on our eyes, not necessarily for the game.

And the minerals? We can hope for battlesprites to be made, or we could make missions require minerals to run the levels(NOTE: not the arcade gates). There are still color combinations for each type of level, so it's not an alien concept.

Ok.. guess making transperency option is nicer than forcing it to be transparent ( modified bomb blast suggestion )

Well anything is fine , just make them minerals usefull ( modified valestone and moonstone suggestion )
