Hey there, Bossbane here.

So it's really late and I am going to be a broken man in the morning, but I just wanted to toss this out there to see what you've all to say about it in the morning!

How would several additional 'mini-games' centered around a Knight's life be? Either that, or an entire job system inserted. I mean, there is the Clockworks and we have that to do, but what exactly does a Knight do when he's not turning a Chromalisk into a pair of boots?

Mining? Delivering goods? Cooking?

There are so, SO many mini games or just straight up additions to the game to be had! We see and hear mention of a very complex society in Haven but do not get to partake in it! There could be an entire job system instated to help stimulate the economy in ways other than guess and check work with energy and grinding FSC until judgement day.

To list a few of the new mini games/features to be had...

Gem sorting (Although we got rid of the deposits ;-( Bejewled style!)

Tetris Style boxing of goods (For those supply packs! Someone's gotta make em!)

Cooking with Biscotti (Perhaps giving your knight bonus stats for the next adventure, monster hunter style, or granting you crowns for well made dishes)

Town Defence (If you went back and played the intro missions, we see that Cradle is being guarded with sandbags by Knights from what we can only assume to be Gremlin hordes.)

Fashion Shows with Bechamel (Either a mini game or posting your best clothing to be voted upon by the populace, the weekly winner receiving a prize.)

Lotto (Just as it sounds -- many players put in, one player takes out.)

Pet battling and care (Like Neopets, only fun.)

'Fruit Ninja' If wielding a sword
'Kirby Quickdraw' If wield a handgun
'Minesweeper' If wielding a bomb

I could and will go on forever with these, but later, after I've gotten some sleep! Let me know what you all think, because I feel like Spiral Knights can and should become something amazing. It's not just a dungeon crawler, it's got so much more charm and potential.

I'll update this sucker later, but until then,

-Bossbane

Blacksmithing

TL;DR: Defense game with knights that's equipment is provided by you, the blacksmith

SUMMARY: Basically, they give you a blueprint and you make the weapon by assembling the different parts. At the end of each day, the weapons and armor you made will be used by knights to defend Haven/Rescue Camp. (Rescue Camp easier level, Haven harder) The amount of time you will get to craft will be 15 minutes. Surviving knights could get their weapons/armor upgraded after the battle, providing they have enough heat. (Like 2* Brandish to 3*) Right before the fight, you can position your troops in 5 different lanes, as well as front or back. Knights will hit harder to enemies in front of them, but they can still attack on the other lanes, with less accuracy and firepower of course. You can order your knights to charge their weapon, defend, and or manually attack enemies on different lane. (Should be programmed to focus on enemies in front of them of course, also swords can only attack up to one lane off) I hope you are wondering, "This idea seems okay, but what about bombs?" They will chuck them at the enemy in front of the line after their charge time, plus, bombs will be made extra powerful and can only be used once. (Like a powerup)

HOW DO I OBTAIN RECIPES?: Good question, you obtain them through progression of mini-game achievements. (I plan for a craft tree to pop up, showing what item you want to research on, and showing what you must do within the mini-game to obtain them. Ex: Brandish, Kill 3 enemies with a single charge attack) Occasionally, a scientist will want to do research, but must do it up close by examining a monster's behavior first hand. If he survives, you will receive a recipe for a randomized boss token item. (Antigua, Snarble Barb, Thorn Shield, etc.) You may craft the item only once, so be careful to whatever knight you give it to.

WHAT ATTRIBUTES EFFECT THE QUALITIES OF THE ITEM? (What I plan, anyways)
-Quality of Metal (Affects base damage/resistance)
-Power Source Used (This effects the Charge attack power)
-Assembly of Weapon (Affects speed of the weapon, a bit hard to prepare for the swing when your hilt is stapled on the blade itself, eh?)
-Assembly of Armor (Will make the damage dealt more predictable. Not all piled up once place, and not all piled up on the other)
-Crystal (Will determine it's attack/defense attribute Ex:Purple crystal for shadow weapons/armor)
-Spark (Will determine it's status effect, please help me think of a better name ;_;)

HOW DO I OBTAIN MATERIALS? (What I plan, anyways... again)
-Murdering stuff
-Mini Game level rewards

BONUS ROOUUUND! (Other stuff I plan)
-Swords have 100% accuracy for hitting stuff in front of them, 70% for switching lanes and hitting
-Guns have a 85% chance of hitting right in front of them, 65% for switching lanes and firing
-Guns have a 5% chance of jamming for 3 seconds (RNG triggered right before firing)
-People in front have a bravery aura on them, making them able to take more hits (Intensifies as they are more positioned towards the front)
-People in back have a fear aura on them, reducing their power the further enemies advance (Intensifies as they are more positioned towards the back)
-Leader powers, once in a fight, you can trigger one. (Ex: Rally, defeats cowardice and neglects fear for 15 seconds)
-Spur line has a 85% chance of hitting in front of them, and then fires a shot that has 40% accuracy of landing and does 50% damage of the damage dealt by the swing
-2% chance of lucky strike for swords
-2% chance of double shot for guns
-25% chance of throwing the enemy back for bombs
-Enemies have the same traits as shown in dungeons
-Turrets have to be assembled by gremlins in battle (Treants can walk on their own)
