—Prologue—
I've seen a lot of events throughout my time in Spiral Knights. Some of them are just plain vanity, others really came with new toys to play with. Not to mention new enemies and bosses.
My favorite events were mostly the ones that gave me something to chew on - like the Shroud Of Apocrea. I really was thrilled there was a Shadow Brandish that does Poison status. Then there's the Kataklysm (Kataclysmic Confrontation, though I prefer to call it "Kataklysm") and all I got out of it were Kat helmets for each weapon class and not one of the lucky ones who got the Black Kat Kowl. Though I noticed most of these event enemies and bosses are Shadow themed - because they give shadow themed weapons and armor.
... And I got all the Apocrea weapons, 2 of the Kat Hoods, and the Apocrean Aura. Last thing I want is an Obsidian Shield but I doubt that'll ever happen.

—Celestial things are coming down on Haven!—
So I've been wondering, considering the other events promoting vanity stuff: Why not make new kinds of enemies and bosses based on heavenly beings?
I found the Storm promotion the reason why I thought of this, though I am not suggesting making Shock-themed weaponry purely off that. It'd be good to make and hopefully be unique enough to be worth anyone's salt to grind for it. This game should have Valkyrie and Fallen Valkyrie enemies - it should be an event where we get to fight these things. We got armor based on them and wings; so why not have those kind of enemies? Perhaps include a set of new equipment as an incentive to participate in those kind of events - like shields for instance. Ones that grant you a special type of shield bash like the Tortodrones or simply giving you special bonuses with one of the weapon types (no Monster Family type bonuses - nobody will ever use those).
Or give holy-elemental Guns and Bombs. We already have a holy sword, its called Divine Avenger - we don't need another holy sword! Though I am guessing those kind of weapons would have to be unique in some way to many anybody grind for them. Maybe a Holy Hand Grenade and an Elemental Magnus? I'd like a Holy Magnus, yes. (Doubt it, but it was worth a shot). Still, it wouldn't be a bad reskin for Nitronome and Magnus though I think there'd be problems with that - considering Nitro causes a lot of havoc as a blast bomb and an Elemental Magnus would probably have to come with a Status proc - I recommend Shock. Yes, a Shock Elemental Magnus would be pretty OP (especially with the Gun Patch).
These Valkyries, I am thinking of they are an unique monster family of their own though their resistance and weakness to be that of Gremlins. Due to the fact that most "holy" weapons are Elemental and the fact that Gremlins are weak to Shadow - that would set them up to be viable enemies. And the Valkyrie boss to actually be based on the Fallen Set. Thus we have a Fallen Valkyrie as a boss - and a Heavenly Iron Valkyries acting as NPCs or just your typical Hermes/Mercury-type character. That one is a Construct and Elemental will kill it if it were a mob.
Anyway, joking with reskins and enemies aside. I can't think of any unique weapon for a Valkyrie event. So this particular part is open to suggestions. =)

The recent Gold costume promotions?
I'd like some mooks and bosses with reskinned in gold - because they are loaded with twice as many crowns and heat as the regular ones and they are not that common. However they can spawn in any monster family and they don't just drop crowns and heat, the can drop things that are potentially and mostly sought for: Rarities.
There is something I realized but never included in this game: Dragons.
Why can't this game have Dragons for a new (event) monster family? I'd say they fit in the Beast family quite well and they'd be pretty deadly, Beast are getting to easy to mop up to consider the family difficult. So why hunt for Dragons? Well, there should be an event mission like the March Of The Tortodrones - where you confront the terrible Alpha Dragon that's been terrorizing Haven and slay it. Then you get some cool stuff like Dragon Rider Armor... In which I have no idea what it will be used for but I'd be certain they can use the Dragon Scale Set as a template - its got dual defenses against Piercing and Elemental, so why not make two Dragon Rider Sets with differing defenses? Like Shadow/Elemental and Pierce/Shadow. It would be nice to have that, then be able to mix and match if there were helmet pieces of it. Also include high resistance to a certain status ailment.
Then again, I want Dragons to appear in every kind of depth in the clockworks. To up the difficulty - perhaps make their damage based on the monster theme they are in. For instance, you are in a Construct theme depth and a Dragon appears. This dragon is in the beast family so it is resistant to Elemental - not to mention it can inflict Elemental which makes it just as deadly!
We got a lot of dragon-themed equipment and even accessories: Dragon Scale Sets and Dragon Wings, but where's the dragons? I know they are mythological but why not have an event where you get to fight actual dragons?

Anyway, most of my suggestions are pretty rough here (I think) though its been rattling my head as I play this game. Mostly because I am getting sick of Shadow-themed events where I have to kill Kats and a raid a graveyard of some eldritch abomination beyond the deepest darkness with a penchant for obsidian obelisk, though that's just me.
I am usually considerate on how the game mechanics work here but I couldn't think much on this one but I felt that I had to address it. So, who would like to kill celestial things, hunt for gold and dragons?
