NEED a stagger storm reskinned as a mug of beer and a big angry bomb reskinned as a cask.
Maybe they could make a whole Oktoberfest event with lederhosen and dirndl costumes. Also a "hoppy aura" that is like the sprinkle aura, only with hops.
Not sure if this is appropriate enough for Spiral Knights, but I see lots of potential for a promo that I would spend a lot of money on.

This game has a fairly young audience and I don't think many parents would like video games teaching them that drinking is ok. (though sticking a gun in someone's face is alright in this game for some reason)
That was my initial concern, but then I remembered OOO's other game Puzzle Pirates. There is a lot of drinking themed stuff in that and there is even a drinking game. Both Spiral Knights and Puzzle Pirates are rated 13+ (though I do think Puzzle Pirates has an older player base). In fact I think I read somewhere a long time ago that puzzle pirates could have been rated E for everyone, but they really wanted to put the drinking game in which changed the rating to T for teen.
The Oktoberfest event wouldn't even have drinking in it, just Oktoberfest themed items. I understand your point though and that was one of the reasons why I was hesitant to post this suggestion.
Well we all know that most parents don't really care what game their kid plays (GTA, or COD for example) and I agree that SK has a long way to go where it becomes something that the gaming community says is filled with whining children.
I figure SK could make some money off of something like this but I am still wondering what direction the game would be heading.
Chefs and knights in swimsuits is interesting but I'm not certain about Oktoberfest costumes, besides what would SK call this event?
None of the "holiday" events are names after what they are based on (Winterfest, and Dark harvest).
Now all I need is a sexy German officer uniform as well as an officer hat.
And now we need Midnight in lederhosen. And Affraiel in that officer uniform.
Get me a black and silver Picklehaube I can put on top of my Mercurial helm.....
