Static Field is a bomb that makes a ring of energy that damages enemies when they pass through it. It has knockback that pushes enemies inside of the ring (basically trapping enemies inside the ring until it dissipates) The size AND knockback of the ring increases as the star rank of the Static Field increases. New Bomb: Static Field [Creates a ring of energy that damages enemies if they touch the ring]
Interesting concept, I like it. However, it does sound fairly similar to a vortex bomb, with the sucking enemies in and keeping them in a confined space. Perhaps have it stay on the field a bit longer than a vortex bomb? Or maybe make the charge time somewhat fast, so that you could, with a bit of strategy, overlap the rings so the monsters can be forced into a smaller ring, where they repeatedly hit the ring and are knockbacked back and forth, although I could see OOO turning around and adding invincitinks to prevent it from being too overpowered if they made this bomb, although with somewhat less damage, it wouldn't be too overpowered I think. I could see it working well if it had a status too though.
Although, like @Magnicth@ said, it sounds a bit too similar to the vortex bomb line. Just slightly more controlled (since you won't have monsters flying off in all directions once the field dissipates).
But I can see it getting a bit glitchy...What would happen if you put two of these bombs next to each other, such that the blast radii just slightly overlapped? To elaborate, what would happen to the monster trapped in the slight gap between the blast radii of two bombs?
I intended the bomb for creating a forcefield to damage enemies while pushing enemies into the ring, making a pinball function where enemies fly from one area of the ring to another, combining the ferocity of a blast bomb and reminiscent vortex entrapment of a vortex. Unlike vortex bombs, the forcefield damage enemies all the time as long as enemies touch the ring of course. However, when too many enemies are crowded into the Static Field enemies can resist the full force of the knockback and may actually get pushed out of the Static Field, due to enemies trying to escape the forcefield to attack you of course. It's pretty much a hybrid bomb which implements new strategy into gameplay. The damage, agreeing with Thunder-The-Bright, should be low (suffering from invisitinks afterwards).
a support bomb for bombers, I see. the field would be great with any sort of bomb, and with pulsar and brandish lines. it's a good idea, but the damage shouldn't be very high.
