Because it's annoying to constantly try to unalive a Kat only to pick up and drop the key constantly.

gods ain't gonna help you, son.

if you mean assigning two keys on the same command, you can do that already. my shield is both x and middle mouse button.
if you mean assigning more than one command on a key, that's what the modifier button is for. middle button for shield and shift + middle button for shield bash.

I think he means have the attack button be different than the talk/pickup/interact button.

I want to bind a button to charge a weapon without needing to take a swing or waste time shield canceling.

Don't pick up the key. You already aggroed the enemy, so kill it before you touch the key.

it's not before you pick the key, but after that. you have the key in front of you and you'd like to attack the enemy, but you pick up the key.

Straight-Line

What Mystrian means is to say don't move in front of the key. Lead enemy away from key, then kill it.

Which is a workaround to a problem that doesn't have to exist.
