slooms. can we bring them back

im about to go the bed so there will be a large update to this post later.

but for now. i was thinking why not have the slooms and starlight cradle in game? i think the main reason was because knights abused the health regen of sleep. but i know there is someway to fix that (somehow) please talk here

(this topic is to short. i'll expand it later)

WHY DON'T WE TAKE SLOOMS, AND PUSH THEM SOMEWHERE LIKE TOXIGEL LEVELS!?
[sleep status will become a neutral but balanced status in a level where it's potential to not heal]

And on that note, why not make sleep status a one acquisition status?
For example, once you get caught on fire for 10 seconds, halfway in between you get slammed by Vana's balls, and your fire timer resets to 10 again.

With sleep, you can only be put to sleep once, or maybe resist it entirely; also a refractory period like sprite skills before you can be put to sleep again.

For me they just should fix animation, add Arsenal station and just throw it at Tier 1 arcade untill they will do something with it. Everyone would be happy.

Sleep was a broken version of

Sleep was a somewhat broken version of freeze.
Also the third depth of "In cold blood" 7-2 mission has got a similar color theme to Starlight Cradle.
Starlight cradle's appearance in clockworks was just a bug (or was it?).

I would not mind it being

I would not mind it being brought back like a rare spawn. (only if the party if full and everyone is alive)

Much like Impostocubes spawn over jelly cubes. That way the sleep heal couldn't be abused too bad and it wouldn't be too much for a group to handle.

In fact give them a chance to drop a Sloom based armor (think recolored mercurial mail).

Sure, they can be re-released into the game when OOO comes up with a good way to fix sleep, although there have been numerous suggestions on ways to do this. I myself have even thrown out a couple of ideas a long time ago, so they really have no excuse besides being occupied with other matters, or not liking our suggested fixes. I'd like for them to come back too, but knowing OOO, it would probably end up being an event.

change the sleep in general

what if instead of just staying in place and healing sleep status is sleep walking where a player's knight wouldn't move the direction that the knight wanted to move in random directions and possible attacking randomly and could attack other knights in the process or something

Remember that one time the sleep levels accidentally got released into a gate and everyone played them? Sleep is a bad status, it is gamebreaking and people only want it because they don't think about how it actually works or what that means. Unless sleep gets a major, major rework it is never coming back.

Yea. And instead the sleep is a poison that when you fall asleep, you get damaged. It hurts you a lot and like what funnymon said, but it damaged you as well.

i suggested adding sleep before but...

i suggested adding sleep back but everyone said that SK got rid of it for a reason. i agree that sleep was bad but if the add it back they could easily modify it.

i was thinking that (similar to whats been said) you could have different types of effect from sleep:
a low chance of 'a good knights sleep' (pun) - the player is healed while asleep like the old sleep status
a chance of having a 'knightmare' (pun) - same as above pt the player is damaged instead of healed
a chance of sleepwalking (couldnt think of a punny name...) - (what funnymon said)

ALSO i would like to suggest (again) adding aditional sleep weapons (sleep alchemer ^-^) and adjusting armors to give sleep resist ect. and some new sleep enemies

What about........ a new enemy...... A sleep cube? It has a night cap on its head. Or a pillow cube.

Also a new type of sleep added to the different effects of sleep.

Like a Knightmare you see void monsters and its very hard to see and fight because you think your being attacked and that you died but you realize that its like a dream when it wears off.

Hmmmm maybe an enemy that looks harmless but if your are in knightmare mode2 it is the most scariest thing ever.

Bringing back sleep would be a good move on SEGA's part, as it would make the royal jelly set finally worth something and count as "actual content". The only problem is actually doing it...

Simple Solution

Simple Solution 1:
Have the Slooms deal higher and higher damage by tier. T2/T3 should hurt you more than you get back from the sleep.
That's pretty hard to abuse. And since you're asleep you might get hit again. It would suck to be asleep.

Simple Solution 2:
Reduce the sleep chance by tier. T1: very high. T2: Moderate. T3: Very Low.
If you do this the Slooms need another attack in T2/T3. Maybe the spinny pierce projectile like Toxigels.

Also I like Holy's rare-spawn idea. That would be fun.

I'd like to point out that none of these suggestions require any extra programming. Just tweaking some already-existing enemy values.

IDK about making slooms super buff, getting OHKOed (or 2 or 3) would be terrible for unprepared knights (lichens are significantly faster than lumbers so silversaps can kind of get away with that)
