Buff Shard Bombs

Shard Bombs are really weak damage wise, maybe make them have double damage.

Salt bomb: normal + shadow (or elemental + shadow)

Sun shards: elemental + piercing

Shard bomb: normal x2

Crystal bomb: elemental x2

Dark matter: shadow x2

Splinter bomb: piercing x2

One thing that really made the previous sun shards shine was the elemental + piercing damage combo.

I would also consider invisitinks to be thrown out/not as persistent.

split specialized damage isn't as powerful as one specialized damage alone.
damage-wise shard bombs are extemely underpowered, you really feel that when using shards on neutral enemies or using deadly shard bomb.

Not splitting the damage but doubling it (hence why I added the double damage)

I said that split special damage is worse than one special damage alone, not that increasing damage was a bad idea. in a few words, we had better only having their damage buffed instead of having another bar of specialized damage.
if you mean that they should deal effective damage like two separate damages, I don't think that's possible coding-wise.

Sun shards: elemental + piercing

Shard bomb: normal

Crystal bomb: elemental

Dark matter: shadow

Splinter bomb: piercing

It almost fits together... like a lost puzzle piece.

Salt bomb is made for slimes.

Salt bomb is made for slimes. Giving it piercing would defeat that purpose.

Crits gremlin and Beast

neutral to slime and fiend

resisted by undead and construct

You haven't "doubled" the damage just reallocated the areas you can use the bomb.

Actually, it does less to fiend and probably slime then a normal shadow damage salt bomb does to beast and construct

I don't think you understand. There's a reason why weapons only have one specialized damage, and that Salt Bomb is reason #1.

I've had this document freely available to everyone for at least a year. At the bottom is the damage old sun shards did (elemental + piercing), as gathered from and extrapolated from the old values on the wiki. Mind that this was a 4* weapon, and the current sun shards are 5*. Basically the damage is doubled, exactly as OP suggests.

Depth 28 numbers. (This is the depth where 5* weapons are at their best compared to 4* weapons.)
Current sun shards (5*):
vs weak (beasts and fiend, ignoring fiend bonus): 165
vs neutral (undead and gremlin): 86
vs resisted (slimes and construct): 30

Old sun shards (4*):
vs weak (undead and fiend, ignoring fiend bonus): 263
vs neutral (beasts and constructs): 203
vs resisted (slimes and gremlins): 121

You can see that damage vs anything goes up relative to the current values.

Go on, check for any family.
And I would make salt bomb shadow+elemental.

Elemental and shadow sounds like a decent form of suggestion. Also, it would be better to fix the invisitinks as well.
