Steam profile pictures can feature explicit or inflammatory content. If you want to post under your Steam picture, you can use the Steam forums.
I just wish we would get more options. All of these great costumes being made by the art team aren't being given notice on here.

I'm done being serious. Time to revel in insanity.
Honestly, we should just have customized Forum Avatars. We could choose among all the helmets, armors, costumes, colors, eyes, and accessories so other forumers would know what we normally look like in-game.
