Mixing it up: Event levels in the clockworks

People sometimes complain about how they miss an event for whatever reason and therefore missed out on its rewards (costumes and gear usually). What if there was a way to get some of the event experiance when the event is past?
What I propose is this: a random event room that appears in the clockworks. This will spice up the clockworks experiance a little bit and allow those who miss events a taste of them. The chance for the key is higher than a lockbox, but not too much higher. This should be something that happens regularly, but is still special. Because of this, my reward numbers below may be a bit too high...

How you access it: A key card will be on the prize wheel at the end of most levels of the clockworks. The key card will say something like this if you get it: "You're a winner! You and your party are invited to the random event room on the next depth! You will be given 30 seconds to decide, with help of your party members, whether or not you want to enter the event room. Have fun!- The Arena King (or king Krogmo)"
You click "yes" to activate the keycard and it is destroyed upon use. Then your party is lowered down to the event room. If you click "no" then your party will go to the next depth normally.

Ideas for the event room:
-Either it's a randomly chosen event that you must complete, or you get to choose. I think it should be random, but that's up to you guys.
-Definitely you can't invite people to it and they can't join you. The location that the social tab shows for you is like that of a prestige mission during the event (the part where you can't join people who are there).
-You can change your gear to make sure you have a chance at completing the mission. It will be scaled (in difficuly) to how many people are in your party, the difficulty your party set to begin with, and the tier level of the depth that the room is located in.

Examples of one:
-You have to complete the "Save Winterfest!" mission to proceed. You get a winterfest prize box, if you complete the mission, that has one costume item, one accessory, and a usable such as a trinket or weapon slot or a krogmo coin or heat amplifier.

-Complete a long graveyard with an abnormal number of Grim Gourdlings to get to the Punkin King's lair. Either get a trick or a treat from him that will result in many "wrapped candies" (15-20) which are like normal candies, but they don't expire. The Grim Gourdlings also drop "wrapped candies". Either the wrapped candies act as the normal ones would (four types) or they could be used in place of any of the others to get rewards during the Dark Harvest festival event. Also there is a chance for a Dark Harvest prize box that will contain a costume item (authentic mask, hallow costume or accessory) and a usable (amplifier or 30 day slot upgrade).

-Defeat two powerful tortodrones in the Ancient Grove with very few devlites spawning. The two combined will drop a total of 20-25 ancient shells upon defeat.

-Face a true nest of black kats (5-7). They appear periodically throughout a clockworks tunnel level. This will result in a maximum of 21 page tokens.

-Defeat a massive horde of creep cakes, current cakes, and batter bots that are converging on a geo or chef knight outpost in a Cooling Chamber-type environment. You get perminent cake slices en masse (15-20) and a chance for a caketastrophe prize box which may have chef costumes, birthday accessories, or a Prismatic Cake helm. The box will also by default have a usable in it like I mentioned before.

-Find yourself on the grasping plateau and free as many souls as possible before the Apocrean Harvester claims yours. Afterward you get access to the Obelisk of Creation where you can turn in your Sigils.

If a party does not succeed in their event level, they will be sent down to the next depth and arrive with full health and their emergency revive intact, ready to continue the adventure without a hiccup. The full health and emergency revive restored thing also applies if you complete the level.

Please feel free to provide feedback on any aspect of my suggestion and I hope you like it and that something like it is added to the game.

Okay...

While this idea is okay, it's just not good.

Don't make "Wrapped Candies", instead, make the candies that spawn decay at the end of the next dark harvest festival. And a Dark Harvest Prize Box having the ability to give out free Authentic Masks? No. Just no. In fact, you should only get the tokens, none of the other rewards from the event. Costumes that aren't part of the event (Battle Chef Costumes) are fine though.

On the note of the Dark Harvest Mission, it'd be better if it was a normal graveyard, minus phantoms, that has a predetermined amount of Grim Gourdlings (4-6) and a ton of Dust Zombies, with a Punkin King lair at the end.

20 Ancient Shells. Really. That wouldn't happen. Every time you do a Tortodrone Mission, you're lucky to get more 3-6 shells: I always get 2.

And as much as I would like to get 21 Ancient Pages, it wouldn't happen. Maybe 5 for the entire level.

Also, the Grasping Plateau would have to abnormally small.

The Save Winterfest one seems okay though.

And this should be much rarer than a Lockbox. Not more common. As much as you want to jazz up the Clockworks, it can't happen. Also, why is the key card from King Krogmo? Wouldn't make more sense to have a locked elevator in the Arcade that you could unlock and then pick an event (And bring your friends!) and then do it? And if you quit, you quit and loose the card. You can get to the lift at the end. Entering this locked elevator uses your key card.

While nice I don't think SK is in the business of giving stuff out, even the lockboxes require keys.

No thanks.

This lets people who missed events play them, but your rewards are, as you said, far too high. No event that has expiring tokens should be playable (Save winterfest is a no. Grinchlin Assault could be a thing though) as those are limited to certain times.

Also, rewards can be similar to regular payout. Ancient shells would be like the event. Same amount of devilites and everything. If you are playing on elite good luck...

Basically, no. This takes the event out of the event. If players aren't around for an event, there is always next time.

Sounds like a semi reasonable idea.
Maybe have a very, very rare event room that has an additional elevator/portal/gate to a given event level, and you can choose to go and do that particular event level or continue on as normal. Once you have gone through the gate/portal/elevator, the party becomes restricted, and no-one can join until you have cleared the event level.
Once cleared, you resume your clockworks run from where you left off at the following depth and the party restriction is lifted.
It would make for a nice impromptu guild raid on an event level, and fits in with the 'ever changing' dynamic that the clockworks is said to possess, but doesn't show apart from a new randomized gate every few days and different levels every run through.

As for a few ideas on the rooms:
Dark Harvest: A small room in the fashion of a small PK lair decorated with Gourds and a single elevator leading to Dark Harvest D2.
March of the Tortodrones: A small room in the fashion of the ancient grove containing an unlocked portal (some devilites getting fired) that leads to Ancient Grove D2:
Apocrea: A room matching the current theme with a single obsidian obelisk with a party button in front of it. Standing on the button summons grasping arms, and pulls you into The Grasping Plateau.
And so on.

On this subject, also have a very, very small chance for fiends to drop glyphs outside of the March of the Tortrodrones, Black Kats to appear in place of normal ones, etc.
Basically, try to make the clockworks seem more dynamic, more alive, and remind players of what is waiting for them at some point in the future. It might also encourage more people to run the clockworks, instead of playing LD or running FSC nonstop.

Maybe

Just seem like things like seasonal missions like Winterfest should be there and March of the Tundrones would be nice because a LOT of people don't know when those are on.
