Why is Haunted Haze still rubbish? It'd be laughably easy to buff it up to par with Chaotic, considering Chaotic just adds a small chance of random status.

Fo'srs, though, if the ghosts had a maximum lifetime greater than like five seconds and followed you if there wasn't a target nearby, it'd be perfect even with the current pathetic damage.

Who says rubbish?

It only works decent when paired with quill spamming teammates and even then a VT or AOA is better.

While we're at it can we fix the Violent Heart attack?

agreed!

I totally agree with haunted haze not meeting it's expected attack parameters. I special effect of having the ghost of a fallen enemy attack other enemies is barely noticeable. i feel the ghost should instead of colliding with the enemy, should instead do an additional health damage reduction and have a visual effect where it shows that enemy's spirit is being sucked away from it's body (like a reaper of sorts). the ghost itself would not fade away after the health reduction, but constantly keep orbiting the pet's owner until the attack duration has ended.

I feel this would give haunted haze a more menacing attack. Even though the pet's abilities are suppose to just be an aiding factor in helping the knights in the clockworks, i feel the long awaited grinding and bringing the pet's attack to such a level should give the owner a more rewarding benefit.

By the way, what's wrong with the heart attack?

The violent Heart attack has

The violent Heart attack has a similar problem in that it deals low damage, you would think that having enemies explode on death would deal some damage but right now it isn't much.

True!

you are so right lol. i have seen them explode and i thought that the monsters were just delivering presents like items to use while fighting.

- You are so right that it needs a buff. But sense i do not have a kitty (and i'm too lazy to go searching on the wiki), can you tell me exactly how it works?

It does about as much damage as a weak shock damage tick

Both are sort of bad

It's a shame, and both should be fixed. Violent heart attack leaves and explosion at the feet of defeated enemies. However, the explosion does no damage, and only affects blocks.
Haunted Haze should simply trigger the ghosts per hit, not per kill. It would be so much fun to see a swarm of ghosts flying around when you hex a huge crowd of zombies or slimes.

Wow..

This is what i kind of was looking for: http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Violent_Heart_Attack

but wow, you are so right, if it's a simple explosion it should at least do the same or close to the same amount of damage as a bombie: http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Bombie

Well, why don't we make it so that once the affected monster explodes, not only can it damage enemies nearby but also affect them by infecting them with the same effect as the violent heart attack. so that this effect can be infectious to any monsters that do not have a shield like the mecha knights and trojans. "This kind of effect would truly represent the term that love is infectious" and also give them at least half the damage a bombie can do once they explode.

That...

That is actually a really good idea. Might need to change the name to "Infectious Heart Attack" or something, but anything is really better than what we have now.

It would be like the ultimate for the maskeraith that has quills jump to a different target once hit.

yep

Yeah exactly like the quills that jump to a different enemy once hit, nice way to connect it to something already implemented in the game.

In hindsight they shouldn't

In hindsight they shouldn't have pushed out the dual ultimate scenario.
If they had just left it at one each then they wouldn't have had to create dual models for each sprite, but even better they could have saved the additional ultimate for the reskinned sprites. That may or may not have had the effect of greater attention to detail for the ultimates themselves?
