A gun that can shoot bullets two times before reloading.
Each bullet explodes into 4 shards - each shard goes up, down, right, or left. Each shard acts like a Valiance bullet; the shards travel 8-10? tiles out from the starting point. If the bullets don't hit anything they'll automatically blow up after they move past 5 tiles. These shards shoot farther than any other handgun currently in Spiral Knights.

The charge only makes the bullet explode like a bomb and the shards can go through enemies.

Am I right?

I believe the bullets could be shaped like the tortogun bullets but the mechanics would be similar to the old Shard Bombs.

I'm guessing these could work a bit like status free alchemers but with the regular attack creating split bullets if they don't hit.

The base damage would have to be less than alchemers since alchemers get only one extra bullet if they hit and the charge doesn't have explosions. It sounds like a good gun for new players and room clearing gun for those who can craft the 5star.

Thunder-The-Bright: Updated op. And the shardgun intends to act as a modified "old shard bomb".
"old shard bomb" emits 8 directional shards.
Shardgun emits 4 directional shards HOWEVER may be shot twice.

Like the idea but it sound a little OP maybe it could be its own gun type like a sort of sticky grenade launcher.

Nothing is OP if you set the damage right. (and keep it from shooting bullets through walls)

This is basically an Alchemer without status and more reliable damage spread. With both of these factors we can either assume that something on it will be low.

Speed, or damage could be low, or the charge would have to take a long time.

Holy-Nightmare: One difference is the shards project much further than Alchemer bullets. It's literally the old shard bomb but cropped with 4 shards instead of 8. Another difference (and the main distinguishing one) is unlike Alchemer rebounding bullets, these shards will always go up, left, down, and right under any circumstances unlike Alchemer rebounding bullets which bounce at random areas (in "random" lines). So, obvious strategy will need to be poured into use of the Shardgun.
