I believe the game itself does not have much content in general... its an incredibly small game compared to other games of this type....
What could be improved is:

-A better storyline. Players can tell what the game is about from the first 2 missions

-More Boss Fights. The game has very few bosses and therefore is not enjoyable with only 4 bosses in it (prestige not included)

-More weaponry and armory. The game's armory and weaponry is incredibly weak. The armors give the players little options and the new ones only give a couple more add ons that could be obtained through UV's. Also the game has few weapon types that may not suit all players.

-The game is NOT community friendly. This game compared to Team Fortress 2 has nothing to do with the community... while half of TF2's cosmetics and weapons come from the community. Also TF2 has an amazing economy system which is quite unique and other games barely have.

-The game's updates include only cosmetics, promo weps and badly made reskins. The only cool update seen so far is the gunner update but even that does not look as promising. Also whenever they release a promo weapon the weapon is not obtainable unless the player has an insane amount of crowns, energy and/or real life money to unbox it by chance.

To conclude: The game has no story. no weaponry and armory and its updates include useless cosmetics and the game itself is small non interactive and not community friendly :)

Last edit: ok so lemme explain what's going on here... the game has very few space... it barely touches 1 GB making it have incredibly low content. For instance, what good are cosmetics gonna do for YOU? What good are badly made reskins gonna do for YOU? and more importantly what good are non interactive and copy pasted levels gonna do for YOU?. The fact that the dev team of SK put little effort in this game does not make it worth playing... The game has little effort put into it, the gameplay and combat system of the game is suck-ish and the fact that its bosses are incredibly easy to beat even if you go on solo elite makes the game non difficult at all. Also the game has absolutely no interactivity. The only thing you do which is barely interactive is touch buttons, press party buttons to open gates and maybe even shoot at switches but that's about it... I believe the developers of SK can do something to improve the game... they just don't care... I mean seriously they won't even allow players to create a simple reskin of their own with their own effects its even against the rules!! The game is ridiculous like wtf is there in this game that makes it so good... which is not... There are many more stuff that make it bad and i could go on but i won't... but i still could :D

this thread is misplaced and useless

put in suggestions subforum, and actually suggest things, dont just say "make this good"
give OOO ideas, and if you actually do do this (people like you usually dont) dont make new threads on ideas that have already been discussed

algorithms are the solutions to any problem.

define "incredibly small game compared to other games of this type" and maybe I'll consider a long answer.

@Line He said "community

@Line
He said "community friendly", not "friendly community", as in, gets content from its community members.
@Dark
TF2 is a FPS though, and this is an MMO. Name three MMOs that support Steam Workshop and have recent additions to the game from there or community made mods.

Also TF2 has an amazing economy system which is quite unique and other games barely have.

Firstly, no clue why you brought this up as it's irrelevant to the point you seem to be trying to make. Secondly, FYI Spiral Knights also has a unique economy setup which shares similarities with TF2's

@Hexzyle, not mmo but RPG :D

@Hexzyle, not mmo but RPG :D -> torchlight 2 haha (well T1 also did it but wasn't this easy to install/find mods)

and most the of the OP is just garbage...

sure it needs more bosses... they allready said they where working on one
story is good... better then diablo 3! and again... they're working on more! (hell, i"ll bet you don't even know the history of almire or learned a bit about the owlite?) enough to discover!

if you would have just put in some effort and research before pulling stuff out of pocket you'd know these things where allready planned a long time ago!

also this is not TF2 and this is not VALVE! this is OOO and could only dream about having a dev team like they have over at valve!

Although Spiral Knights has instantized levels, (which although the way its run seems like its not an MMO, the way it operates all from a server *is*) it has a hub world where all players can interact, fulfilling the criteria of an MMO. Inventory is also managed by the master server, another MMO trait. This is why nodding isn't available: players could hack. Additionally since SK is a game that hinges on an F2P payment system, any unbalanced item (in price or in power) added to the game would cause heavy disruption to the economy.

EDIT: ohhhhh sorry, I thought you were saying SK wasn't an MMO but you were saying TL isn't an MMO.

........ newbs

That fact that you've only seen 1 update means that you don't know the history of the game and should at least research or something before you post stupid forum things that are biased, this game is community friendly, perhaps if u spent 30 mins in haven u would know this e_e and all the rest is just un-true. So yeah, your arguement is invalid lol.

Responses + wall of text inbound

Plenty of responses here are just being hostile, but here's a response to what I think you're "suggesting" here:

-A better storyline. Players can tell what the game is about from the first 2 missions
The story in Spiral Knights is very straightforward, but has very in-depth areas. Originally we crash landed on Cradle and were searching for a power source to fix our ship and return to space. Now we were fired upon while searching for an energy source to help us win a war at home. But most of the story in Spiral Knights is made up of smaller mini-stories that are told through the clockworks. Some of these stories include: Rise and fall of the Kingdom of Almire, the war between Owlites and the Kat Tribe which brought about the Kataclysm, the Gremlin's Crimson Order and King Tinkenzar, etc. Look for story, and actually read what the game says to you. You'll find there's plenty of story hidden about. :)

-More Boss Fights. The game has very few bosses and therefore is not enjoyable with only 4 bosses in it (prestige not included)
Not including danger mission bosses is not giving the game justice. We have 4 standard bosses, each with their own set of levels that lead up to them. On top of that, we have 3 danger mission bosses that are much more difficult than the standard bosses(sans Maulos, but that's primarily because of his weakness to piercing). We also have one DLC boss that spans across all 3 tiers, and a hidden/secret boss (Margel). On top of that, we have the 4 standard bosses within shadow lairs, which prove a much harder challenge than their arcade counterparts. That's, what, at least 13 unique-ish bosses? That's hardly very few.

-More weaponry and armory. The game's armory and weaponry is incredibly weak. The armors give the players little options and the new ones only give a couple more add ons that could be obtained through UV's. Also the game has few weapon types that may not suit all players.
Our arsenal is vast. Arguably we don't have many variants of weapons, but we have enough to fit into many playstyles. The only place that's really lacking is bombs.
In terms of armor, we have many choices there too. There's not going to be every choice (i.e., there's no freeze/curse elemental/piercing armor), but that's hardly a reason to say there's not enough armors. With the new gunner armor we have been flooded with around 36 new armors. 36. All new. That's nothing to scoff at.

-The game is NOT community friendly. This game compared to Team Fortress 2 has nothing to do with the community... while half of TF2's cosmetics and weapons come from the community. Also TF2 has an amazing economy system which is quite unique and other games barely have.
And Spiral Knights doesn't need to take community content. In comparison to Team Fortress 2's massive community and size, Spiral Knights has barely a fraction. If Three Rings did take in community items, they would be few and far between. Plus it still requires Three Rings to program the items.
What would be nice is more community involvement or interaction. Three Rings usually is very silent until they release an update, in which case the game masters moderate the forums more actively and directly.

For the last year we've had quite a few updates, but not many of them have been permanent or game changing. When we first started in 2011, I believe we only had the clockworks and the royal jelly and firestorm citadel. Since then we've gotten compounds, candlestick keeps, snarbolax and the roarmulus twins, the mission system, various reoccuring events, battle sprites, etc. The year following the release of battlesprites has been slow but we have seen more events, such as a few tortodrone, apocrea, and black kat showings.
Promo-box weapons themselves are rather bogus, but if they release a free alternative I'm sure we would all be happy.

To conclude: The game has no story. no weaponry and armory and its updates include useless cosmetics and the game itself is small non interactive and not community friendly :)
The more you invest into the game, the more you will see. The story and arsenal are very much here. Updates are slow but happen. Cosmetics are in here because they make Three Rings money without creating an imbalance in the game. The game itself is small because the playerbase is small. Most successful MMOs have been around for a while and offer something new, or play on an old and beloved franchise, neither of which Spiral Knights has to boost its popularity.

Last but not least, don't expect Spiral Knights to be a game like TF2. They are two separate games with different ideas behind them. TF2 seems to be a point I've seen many players fall back on as a reason for doing something in Spiral Knights, but the two are so vastly different it's pointless to say "I wish this game was TF2". If you want to play TF2, do that. If you want to play Spiral Knights, do that.

Well excuse me for taking the suggestion forum seriously.

I take every suggestion that's thrown into this forum as if the poster means it. Depending on the writing style I can quickly figure it out.

For each "troll" poster there will be an ounce of truth, and I'm approaching those bits of truth so that others that come across this thread don't attempt to make the same suggestions mistake.
I would rather inform players than toss them off the back of a bus, which seems to be the mentality of too many posters.

-SK is sort of unique, so "other games of this type": what do you mean?
-SK's storyline is quite fun and still in development.
-SK's storyline was never meant to be the main part of the game
-SK has more weapon types (sword, bomb, gun, and maybe battle sprites and pickups) than the average FPS shooter (GUN UUSE IT TOO SHOET THEM ENEMYS IN TEIR HEDS)
-SK forces players to get a wide weapon and armor collection to be protected against everything
-SK is very community friendly, since there is little to no P2W (only exception might be mixmaster)
-SK has a unique economy system too. There are very few games where the premium resource is available for the free resources
-SK has enough content to make sure people keep playing the game for years
-SK not interactive... Maybe you didn't know, but non-interactive games don't exist (maybe you mean movies:/)
-If you like TF2 better, play it but please stop saying stupid things about SK

Graveyard please...
