Deals: Shadow and Normal.
Normal attack: Same as Warmaster Hammer. Instead of dealing damage, it gives a "curse" (not the status kind; it would be shaped like a clock). These "curses" can be stacked.
Charge attack: Hammer smashes into the ground, and in a certain radius, dark purple veins and a haze will appear; anyone with a "curse" caught in it will take damage. The more curses, the more damage.
How it looks: Imagine a clock like this, except instead of gold hands, it will be purple and stuff like that. Its handle will be like this.
I appreciate feedback, so that this idea will become better.
Untimely End (Hammer concept)
Bizzidy Bump it! I want to hear more! What * level does it start at? What's it's damage? Why can't I stop asking questions? WILL ANYONE HELP ME!??!!??!?!
Its a nice idea, that gives the player advantage to striking more enemies before using the charge attack. Like charge attack effect. i really like it.
Well, here are some of my ideas on how you can get this weapon:
1.) Prize Boxes + Event (I know you guys will proooooobably hate this idea; by probably, I mean definitely).
*Le Crappy Idea*
2.) A "new" weapon implemented in the game (probably in an update). I'm still thinking of its 1*-4* names (unless you guys can come up with devestatingly awesome names that still fit in with its theme: time and death).
*Le Reasonable Idea*
3.) A new rare drop (about as rare as Darkfang Shield).
*Le Supporting Idea of Le Reasonable Idea*
That's all.
I guess it adds quite a nice (new) strategy to swords. Here's a kudos +1
Also, I'm going with *Le Reasonable Idea* :P
Out of curiosity, does the hammer affect swarm monsters? (Since the Catalyzer line doesn't)
I'd go with the second one.
Also, it should start from three stars, not one star
@Xxpapaya
I guess it should, considering that you're basically putting yourself in danger by bonking enemies nearby without actually dealing damage to them until you use the charge attack.
@Crazee-Pi-Forums
That is quite reasonable.
Would there be the movement speed decrease with charging like there is with WRH?
Would a curse be applied with each hit? How about the spin in the WRH combo? How many curses does this deal?
Now for the ideas on how to release:
1.) Event: Maybe. This sounds very aesthetic.
2.) I like the idea of the theme of time and death, in fact, that's awesome! It would really lend itself to a promotion!
3.) I don't think is such a good idea! When was the last time a Darkfang Shield was found?
5* Eternal Rest
4* Nightfall
3* Timekeeper
Eh! I'm sure you'll think of something better :)
@Nethergrim
1.) Well, yes. It IS a hammer afterall; it would behave much like WRH.
2.) Yes, a curse is applied with each hit (considering this is a catalyzer-like hammer). Two(2) curses if you can manage to successfully hit the opponent with both normal hits (just remember one(1) hit = one(1) curse).
is there like a number above the symbol that counts how many curses are applied?
also "successfully hit the opponent with both normal hits"
the hammer has 5 hits, swing, triple damaging dash (a bit weaker than swing), and final swing (a bit stronger than the first swing)
maybe it can make the curse deal different damages based on the hit
oh and important question: it still does knockback right?
maskeraith haze thing but now with the hammer? A coordinated M.haze+hammer curse+Grand Faust charge+Poison team would be so OP
faeyd, its not hexing haze like, its like a catalyzer, reread the post
@Oohnorak
1.) Well, I'm thinking of either (a) no counter on how many you place; just like catalyzer or (b) there's a counter in the middle of the "curse".
2.) The curse stays constant. No matter what type of hit, it will stay constant.
3.) Yep, knockback is still being dealt. That's the beauty of the hammer part.
Hope this answers your questions :3
I thought you mentioned clocks so thought it was timed. Are the clock icons there to just let you know you just put a curse? I misunderstood.
@Faeyd
Yes, the clock icons are not timers; they are notifications if you placed a curse. Simple as that.
What if the victims age with every curse?
@Whyna
Hmmm, interesting concept. I suppose the "aging" part of the "curse" would make the victim/s slower.
About your "clock", why not make it slow enemies like stun.
"Charge attack: Hammer smashes into the ground, and in a certain radius, dark purple veins and a haze will appear; anyone with a "curse" caught in it will take damage.
Would allies take damage too if they are in the radius as a negative affect, as there arent downsides so far.
As far as I can tell, this weapon deals no status, so it's nowhere near OP. It's like saying a catalyzer is OP simply because of its mechanics when in practice, it's only as good as the user. A good catalyzer player will make that gun OP, a bad one will barely do damage. Same with this weapon.
I like the idea, but I think the warmaster rocket hammer is fine being the only weapon with an attack pattern much like itself. Perhaps switch this one's attack pattern up? It might still have something similar though. Maybe instead of the hammer's dash attack this weapon could have a sort of "phase walking" attack where the player zips forwards about as fast as a flourish third hit forwards about 2.5 tiles and leaves a small haze behind them along the way that lasts for .8 seconds. The second hit does one hit along the way, but the additional hazes can inflict 2 more curse clocks! (3 hits, different pattern) First and final swings can remain as the hammer's attacks, seeing as they are the standard heavy sword hits.
Also I assume all the curses can be set off by all players who use this weapon, like catalyzers?
@Fangel
Yes. Just like a catalyzer, curses can be set by other players who use this weapon.
Also, I like the idea of "phase-walking" and the haze.
@Faeyd
No, they wouldn't take damage; however, they would take a slight knockback.
this hammer moves players too...
yup I have completely ran out of reasons to not have this
Idea is... pretty neat, but rather won't happen.
Would be hated on LD like old polaris.
There is literally no reason I can think of to not.
Send this in to OOO, someone.
@Pawsmack
*Shoosh-paps*
You misunderstood me >:3
Technically, it's not as -OP- as Warhammah
This is a combination of the Catalyzer and Warhammer right?
