Bring back heart sharing. And pill dropping

'Nuff said. Actually, not enough said.

It's actually pretty cool, the sparks of life. But if you remove heart sharing, you basically remove the cooperative element of the whole game. It basically encourages people to buy sparks of life, and go on solo runs. Thus, removing what Spiral Knights is about. Community. Cooperation.

Discuss?

(And bring back pill drop. By that I mean you can share your potions and your friends. Too many times have I seen a friend low on health, while I have full health, and 3 health pills in my bar.)

health sharing was removed to prevent alt farming. sorry, but without elevator costs bringing it back wouln't benefit the game.
pill sharing should be teammates only. you couldn't just drop a pill, only transfer it to a party member.

@Thunder-The-Bright Health sharing was removed to "Improve teamwork", not because of alt farming. And alt farming is now way easier lol.

and the offical reason for removing health sharing is that teammates would keep reviving even at very low health, thus lowering the chance of actually completing the mission. I don't know where you got the "improve teamwork" thing.

I miss meeting a group of people and running a gate, only to get rekt by a group of greavers. It was reaply fun meeting random people.

I think the addition of sparks, compounds, and solo loot are what keeps the arcade dead. But it is clear that missions are what destroyed the arcade.

All they gotta do is add levels with different rewards or something that missions cannot offer.

For example, the gates could have their own unique 4 bosses, while the snarby/jelly/rt/vana could be missions only. The redundance of these bosses makes people choose the mission version, since there is no benefit to the arcade version

Ill make a new suggestions thread actually, got some ideas when I should be studying for a 200 point math final. Woot!

And even with sparks, which should we spend our resources on loser team mates who would have died either way?

In fact, I would argue that it would be in OOO's favor to continue health sharing so that people died more often and spent more crowns on sparks so that they would rather rev at full health instead.

I for one don't rev people who fail to play the game. It's much easier to solo.

I still don't get how at farming is way easier now. you know, with the not-point made by sloveniangirl up there, I'm just anxious to see how people cheat the system nowadays.
and may I add that whoever doesn't use health trinkets has now an easier time because you regain more health with the ER? and also soloers aren't dead after one mistake?

There was a bit of difficulty to HP sharing and item dropping.

Accidentally sharing HP to someone you didn't want to rev, dropping an item you were trying to swap around you pickup inventory and having a teammate steal it.

It became frustrating in some situations when you didn't want to do something and doing that something got you killed or put you at a disadvantage.

The new mechanics do remove a fair amount of teamwork but it does allow us to focus more on the fight than having to run about with enemies on your tail trying to create enough space so that you can rev a teammate without getting killed yourself.

Let's go back to the time where we all watch that one guy run around with 1/2 a bar of HP left and waited for them to eventually die because they were too stubborn to pop a pill and revive a teammate that said guy happened to get killed because of their Polaris Spam. Yaaaaay.

@Paintool: What u said was right. People don't bother revving anyone, to save the SoLs for them selves.

About Alt Farming: It IS much easier now. All u gotta do is just make the altas get the treasure, as treasure spawns differently for each of us.

except loot doesn't spawn for the dead, so you gotta watch out for your alts. also instanced loot. also you cannot health share, you gotta waste a spark if you want to revive your alt.
sorry, I just don't see it.

i wish

i wish heath and pill sharing came back. I like to help my teammates, but in that sense i do not mean to constantly keep reeving them using up my sparks which cost me time of running two fsc runs to get 16k and buying 200 energy to get 10 sparks. i like my sparks, they cost a lot of time every month or bi-weekly to get so i rather save those for really decisive situations when i really need em.

So saying that, if health and pill sharing came back (i do not mean heath sharing revives. I mean the health pips we see on the floor that we all use to share that is now separated into 4 separated health pips individually for each player on the team. I want that health pip to now go back to how it originally was where that if one player gets it, other players will be left with nil.) i feel that we as players will treat health as a group importance so that as a group (if anyone in that team cares about group survival) we will try to preserve health for the team and this way we can appreciate team work. This way, i can drop a pill to my teammate if he really needs it, or let him take the heart i was about to take cause i feel he needs it more than me. This will of course cause some issues in parties that do not work with each other and will divert the focus (like Holy-Nightmare said.) from the fight at hand and becomes more about survival. But i feel in a group expedition like diving into the unknown clockworks that contains infinite worlds that is far from home and full of danger, survival needs to become an issue and not a forgotten thought where if one teammate can take on the fray of the dangers and monsters of the clockworks, then no one else who joined the group matters. Survival needs to be something that can affect everybody and the group itself needs to be able to affect this in a positive or negative way sense the group is your teammates that either watch your back or stab it full of holes.
